Kings have had the lead at the end of each of the first three quarters.

I feel like I haven't seen someone go 0 - 3 from the foul line, on the same trip, in a long time. The last time I remember was during Lebron's rookie year. He was playing at Milwaukee, and missed all three free throws. The Bucks crowd went crazy with each missed one on that trip. Wow, it was in the final minute too. www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/pbp/200401300MIL.html

I wish Klay was under contract longer with the Warriors

Kings have had the lead at the end of each of the first three quarters. Almost a wire to wire game too.
What were your reasons for picking the Kings?
And for Miami.

Miami is easy. Butler is just a different player in the playoffs. Kings is mostly Sabonis for me, and defense. They've had a lot of bad luck with injuries late in the season, but they're still full of good role players who know their role, and who can play defense. I just didn't see this old Warriors team holding up against them. Them beating Pels is certainly a tougher matchup but I never trust the Pels unless they're playing us. And if Zion is out for the game, that's just their usual luck.

The Kings bench is pretty awful with the injuries. How would they last a series? This has to be the end of the Warriors as we knew them. Steph and Draymond's last years, doesn't make sense to have them go out like this.

My Bucks pick is already looking bad. Giannis Antetokounmpo out.

Lyles, Mitchell and Len are not awful, though Len didn't do great tonight and he's the worst of that bunch. They almost played 7 players total vs Suns recently in a game decided by one point, though Len did play 5 minutes in that game.

That's a really weak 6-8.

corkscrew, mistwell, htownfan are 2-0 after night 1. (Yes we still need to see the results of Friday, but so far, they are on track). corkscrew 1 point htownfan 1 point, and 2 bonus points (7/8 and for the 9/10 winner) mistwell 1 point, 2 bonus points v-ice with 1 point basketcase with 0 points nuraman00 0 points I will try to calculate my own prediction game results sooner than I have in years past, and this intermediate step helps.

Pelicans always seem to get hurt. Whether it's this current team; the Anthony Davis and Cousins teams; the Eric Gordon / Jrue Holiday / Tyreke Evans / Anthony Davis teams, they are always hurt.
Frustrating.
Holiday had to miss a bunch of games because his wife had a brain tumor.
Eric Gordon could barely stay healthy for the Pelicans.
Yes, the Kings play defense this year. They were 25th last year, 14th this year. Fox lead the league in steals this year, after averaging 1.1 last year. My usual criticism of the steals per game leader declining in averages since 2008-2009 applies.
People barely steal the ball now, and with a faster pace too. 2.0 is not a good steals per game leader.

My Bucks pick is already looking bad. Giannis Antetokounmpo out. The series hasn't started. You can change it IMO.
Since it hasn't started.

And the Clippers got put in a matinee game, game 2 is gonna be a must win. ABC likes the Clippers.
Good for a national audience.

After the Kings lost Monk, Mike Brown said that Fox and Sabonis would play 40+ minutes.
They played 39 and 37 today. Would have played 40 if the game called for it, I'm sure.
