tinyurl.com/ybzbacq3If it were up to Doc, he would be at the head of the line trying to figure out a way to give up assets to get him.

Doc was actually right not to touch this guy even if it were for the wrong reasons. If someone as important to the Rockets organization as Chris Paul can't keep him on the team then who can?

We should sign him, then ship him down to the "The Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario"

I think I'd rather have Austin back than to go for Melo. Please go to the Warriors or Lakers.

I don't see how there's any interest in him at all. Nothing worse than a guy who's not good but thinks he's one of your best players. If he's going to fuck it up in Houston then why would anyone else take a chance on bringing him in

Article in the paper today says that he is a dinosaur that nobody wants. A volume perimeter shooter who shoots mid-range shots instead of threes. And he plays no defense. Bad teams don't want him because it takes minutes away from their young players and is a bad influence on them and good teams don't want him because the way he plays does not help them win(see OKC and Houston). The game has changed. You shoot from the perimeter and you have to shoot from the three point area. Mid-range game is dead. Everybody following Houston's offensive and defensive model. Switch and hit threes.

Yes, I still get the L.A. Times every day. Like it a lot more than having to turn on the freaking computer to get information. Enjoy the look and feel of a real newspaper.

You can still be effective in the mid range, but now you have to be great at it efficiency wise. Melo's strong suit is not efficiency. High volume with low-medium efficiency in the mid range is the plague to teams. He doesn't seem to want to be a spot up 3 point shooter, but other than maybe a few post ups where he can get a mismatch you can't have him forcing those kind of looks consistently. He's also not shooting the 3 well, he did get to be a pretty good 3 point shooter a few years ago but for whatever reason he's declined badly there too. Add in weak defense and what do you have left

Now JR Smith is on the market, along with the entire Wizards roster.
Is there anyone out there that we would want?
