Assuming LeBron is #1 and Durant is #2, who is next best?

Tough, tough call but I am giving it to Harden. Especially the way he played last year and won the MVP. No love for Russell Westbrook on this list despite average a triple double two years in a row. So much for stat beasts. Now if the Greek Freak could shoot a three this would be a whole different story.

Westbrook isn't top 20 in PER right now. Jokic is #4 in PER but no one would claim he is a top 3 player. Montrezl is #8, the highest rated Clipper. [correction] Westbrook is top 10 in PER at 25.6 but has played only 220 minutes. He didn't show on the list of top 20 PER on Basketball Reference.

So much for stat beasts. Now if the Greek Freak could shoot a three this would be a whole different story. Antetokounmpo is shooting 56% from the floor. He would have to shoot 37.3% from 3-point land to match that. When he's getting so many 2 and 3 foot shots at such a high percentage, why should he take a less percentage shot? The one subpar thing he's doing is missing FTs this year. Normally he's a 74% foul shooter, but 69% this year. If he got his FTs to 78 or 79%, then that would add even more value, given how often he gets fouled. He gets to the FT line 8 times a game.

Not much love for Steph? Multiple MVP's and championships? That puts him ahead of just about everyone not named Lebron.

Davis, he's a force on both ends. Kawhi can climb back up into the top 3 as well. All good choices though and all in that tier

I have to go with either Giannis or AD. Even if Giannis doesn't develop a reliable jumper, he still dominates. He's basically KD without the jumper, but 20 times the athleticism. AD is the complete package. Long, can shoot, defense, everything. If Curry wasn't so injury prone, I'd have him over all of them. With Curry, except for his 2 MVP seasons, he's had a hard time staying healthy. On top of being 30, I wonder how much more he can take before he starts to decline. I think because of his jump shot alone, he can easily play until he's 40 as a role player like Vince Carter. How long before he declines from being a top 5-10 player in the league? Everyone knows Zion, Bobi, and Shai will be the next faces of the NBA.

I still haven't voted. I'm trying to figure out which one of these guys could drag 4 scrubs deep in to the playoffs like LeBron.

A team that went to the Finals last year, loses 1 player and now is 2-12 and already fired their coach. Love, while not a scrub, can not carry a franchise to the playoffs. Also look at what happened to MIA and CLE the first time LeBron left.

Kevin Love has played 4 games this season.
But, I get your point.

So is Irving a scrub? Because isn't that reflective of Cleveland's record when James left?
