I was surprised we matched on him, but I'm glad we did.
The new front office doesn't like to let assets walk for nothing (with DJ being the lone exception, although they tried to get something for him but just couldn't get it done).
Not sure how we will free up the two roster spots before the season starts, but we still have lots of time.

Not speaking for pageC4 but I would dump Evans and, if possible, Wes Johnson. If we cannot dump Wes (and I think we will not) then I guess Thornwell. I'd dump Johnson too, but I think Doc likes having a "veteran". I think they are keeping Wes solely because his contract has salary matching value in a trade as an expiring deal. |
