Already at game 40. And we already have 23 wins. Who would have thought it. www.rotoworld.com/teams/clubhouse/nba/cha/charlotte-hornetsContain Kemba seems to be the key to stopping the Hornets. Sounds like Bradley needs to step up in this game. Lamb has a bad hamstring but says he is playing. He is their second best scorer so if he is limping around on a bad hamstring it will be excellent for us. Only other guy who averages 10 a game is Marvin Williams. Zeller is out so they are light on bigs. Batum hasn't been that good this year so let's hope he does not wake up. I think we cover the 6.5 points we are favored to win this thing by.

Tony Parker has been pretty good, when he plays.
The Clippers frontcourt should tip the game toward the Clippers.

I hope Shai starts shooting the ball more. We need our backcourt to be good to be any good as a team. Lou and Harrell have basically been the difference in our wins this year. So this is a big game tonight. Of course I treat every game like it is big. Because all of them are big. One loss and we go from fourth to seventh and barely ahead of the Lakers.

Man did I enjoy this game!
It was Filipino night. They went all out. Really good crowd. manny Pacquiao was there, spoke with the crowd, threw T-shirts, signed a ball and tossed it into the stands...and shook hads with Floyd Mayweather Jr. who was also there.
Some members of the Black Eyed Peas gave a mini-concert during half-time, which was really good. A Phillipino singer (who was good, I just missed her name) sang some Journey during a break, and the crowd all held up cell phone flashlights and sang along. The entire stadium was screaming like mad for Tony Parker to miss two free throws in the fourth quarter multiple times (two misses gets everyone a free chicken sandwich at Chick Fil A).
All in all the game was run really well.
The game itself was excellent. We never had huge faults, and nearly played a wire to wire (they Hornets led by 3 for the third shot). Harrell was playing like his old self and hitting free throws. Gortat was playing well. Beverley was excellent and heavily involved in so many successful plays (though some will not show up on the simple stats). SGA was pretty good and had some key blocks. Even Bradley was pretty decent on defense. Harris seemed to struggle a bit with his shot early on but he came around as well. And Gallo was a madman nailing threes with ease. We even had Motley for several minutes.
All in all a really good game to see live. Pretty happy we went.

I would have thought that maybe they could have gotten the current version of Journey themselves, with their male Filipino singer. But then again, 10 teams probably have a Filipino night, and Journey would not want to do that for every team. What did you see from Motley? What ere some standout things Beverley did? Glad you enjoyed it.

No game has ever started at 7:30. They all start at around 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. What about Montrezl Harrell? Nobody on the Hornets could guard him under the basket. He just owned them. As did the incomparable Lou Williams. Those were the two real stars of the game on offense. On defense Doc did a great job of containing Kemba Walker. Supposedly they spent the whole game trapping him and getting the ball out of his hands. I wish I was smart enough to watch for that kind of stuff. Usually all I see is five guys who look like they are in a zone defense and then having them break off and take the guy with the ball when the guy gets close to them. I am a guy who watches the offense all the time for both teams. Not good at watching what guys are doing on defense since a lot of it happens when the ball is someplace else. This year the offense has ruled the NBA anyway. Good game all around for us and very entertaining. Now on to the tough game at Denver tomorrow.

Trez and Lou were amazing. Possibly the top bench duo in the NBA.
