Bogdanovic looks like a REALLY nice player. Does everything on the offensive end- handle, dish, score, shoot, penetrate. Kings have some nice pieces. Another year they'll be competitive.

Interesting conversation I overheard at Staples today. Consensus was the NBA has changed so much with 3 point shots that "closing out games" prior to the last 5 minutes of the fourth has become almost a thing of the past. That almost every team at this point has multiple people who can make threes, and more fouls are being called as well, and a team can flip 3-4 three point shots in a row and all of a sudden with just a couple of missed shots by your team and some luck for the other team the score can flip 9-12 points in the blink of an eye. Which used to happen on occasion but now is happening with high frequency - for every team out there. The total scores of games is now averaging much higher with some rules changes as well.
It's making fans angry at their own teams. Look on almost any teams message board and you will see complaints about "not closing the game out earlier". It might just be an artifact of today's NBA. Teams are not really taking more shots - but the shots they're taking tend to be worth more now (either a three, or a two with a foul, or even a three with a foul). So when the run comes it can swing the score a lot more than it used to.

These days, a double digit lead isn’t safe until maybe 2 minutes left in the game. Even then, they hit a quick 3 get a stop and hit another 3, and worst case an and 1 get called for a t for reacting to the and 1 in less than 30 seconds and now you’re in a stressful situation.

And we can all agree that losing after having a huge lead is the worst way to lose a game, now it happens every other day in the NBA.

It is too bad because we don't have garbage time anymore and we can't play the end of the bench guys as much. Like Wallace, Thornwell, and Boban. We always have to play down to the last two minutes no matter how big of a lead we have. Earlier this year we lost most of a 25 point lead to the Kings in the last quarter. This game we lost the same second quarter lead which was cut to five points. Good bailout shots by Harris and Beverley got the lead back up to double digits but still we had to keep pushing until the end of the game to keep that lead.
Not sure why we always beat the Kings. They are having a solid year and have beaten a lot of good teams this season.

Reading the Kings message board, these things stood out:
1) They all REALLLLLLY love Harrell. 2) They thought Bradley played smothering defense, and that they lost because of the overall good defense of the Clippers. 3) They think the Clippers (and Bucks) have their number and would stand a better chance against GSW than the Clippers. 4) They are down on Willie Cauley-Stein and think he is soft

Up 87-76 after the 3rd. Lou time. Is Lou time the Clippers version of Reggie Miller time?

He also said at the start of this year, that he's mainly motivated by money for a new contract. He doesn't seem like someone mentally worth the investment.

The fact that the WCF was right in our hands is absolutely devastating. Then again, watching the Patriots dominate the Chargers from the coin toss was a pretty long 3 hours.

I think getting blown out is fine. Losing a big lead is not OK but I can live with that. The worst loss is some guy throwing up an off balance heave with one second left on the clock and drains it to give his team a one point win with no time left on the clock. That is what Harden did to the Warriors last time they played. It happens all the time. Those games you genuinely feel cheated out of a win you deserved to get.
