With the Lakers giving up and the Kings’ lack of leadership, our playoff hopes are all but safe. We can lick the 3rd seed right now. What a weak move by LeBron and the Lakers. Just throwing in the white towel. MJ and Kobe would be fighting tooth and nail in this situation.

And Kobe would toss up bricks and turnovers.
It's also probably not his decision, but the Lakers decision. Just like how Davis is controlled in New Orleans.
Jordan also had 2 other hall of famers, and was favored to win every Finals. There wasn't an opponent that the oddsmakers even thought would pose a legitimate threat.
The Jazz only had 1 series lead in 2 years, and it was only a 1 - 0 lead.

Kobe looked like he was gonna die in his final game. Did you see how red his face was? And it was a meaningless game. If the Wizards FO told MJ they were gonna limit him or shut him down with 15 games left, he would tell them to fuck off. Don't get me wrong, LeBron is an all time great, but he's not the GOAT.

That game sucked. The Jazz should have won that game, they had a double digit lead in the 4th.
It was just a bunch of guys forcing Black Moldy the ball. Not fun to watch.
So what if he had a red face. He didn't play great, despite the scoring total. He shot 6 - 21 from 3's. He should have been benched for more minutes than he was.
I could have watched Damon Stoudamire do the same thing, in this game which still boggles my mind (on why Stoudamire took so many 3's):
Stoudamire went 5 - 21 on 3's, and had the record for most missed 3's in a game.
That record has probably been broken now, with how 3 point attempts have gone up.
He did pretty much what Black Moldy did in his final game.
Back to your topic of whether James will still play hard. I guess we'll see how hard he plays, during the rest of the season. Just because a report says he's going to be limited, doesn't mean that James won't play hard.
We will see what actually happens, and if they actually rest him, and if he misses games.
For what it's worth, Black Moldy did get some DNPs during the last few weeks of his last season too:

Kobe was inefficient but he still scored 60 points and helped them win the game. I'm not denying that LeBron plays hard (although defensively he's been atrocious) but it's that it looks like he's giving up on the season long before the Lakers are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. I get it, at this point, might as well get a better draft pick and us it for trades(AD) if you're the Lakers, but when you're the self proclaimed GOAT, you go down with the ship at least.

Yeah, it was Stackhouse. It was just a good moment from the Jordan era Wizards, though. I thought I wrote in my post that it was Stackhouse, but I see I didn't mention it.
It was just cool to see a mid-career Stackhouse, and Jordan, play together, during that game.

Kings losing to Wizards tonight pretty much seels their fate.

Kings losing to Wizards tonight pretty much seels their fate. Yup. I don’t think we need to worry about missing the playoffs anymore. As long as we avoid the Warriors and Nuggets, we can upset our opponent and make it to the 2nd round. The Nuggets honestly worry me more than the Warriors. Nuggs have whooped our asses all season and the Warriors look bored and uninterested. It’s hard to turn the switch when you don’t give a shit.

I think we might be looking at as high as the 5 seed if we keep playing like this.

Our most favorable matchup is probably against Houston. So staying in sixth may be to our advantage. Don't really want the Warriors or Nuggets in the first round. And the Thunder would probably beat us too. Rather face Harden and all the ex-Clippers on the Rockets. Networks are all pissed off that we made it instead of the Lakers.

We want Blazers in my opinion, and that's a realistic result too.

Agree with that. We should beat the Blazers in a seven game series. Trap Lillard in the playoffs.

I think tonight’s game is unusually important for several reasons: The timing in the season, the statement it would make, the confidence it would provide for this young team, and the notice it would get from around the league. This would make it 6 wins in a row, which would be the longest winning streak of the year with wins against Sacramento, OKC, Boston, and Portland, and this would indicate the team is coming together and peaking at the right time.
Lose the game tonight as expected, and the narrative continues as it has — great young team, great future, the front office has done a great job, Doc has done a great job, etc. Win it and it significantly changes the complexion of the playoffs and the perception of the future. Close out with the 6th seed or even move into the 5th and there is not a free agent superstar who wouldn’t recognize the unique opportunity to join this team this summer 1) to become an instant contender if not a favorite, and 2) to remain a contender for a long time as the young pool of talent gains experience.
Big game tonight!
