I'm at peace with losing George for nothing if it comes to it. He's replaceable. He can't even defend in the postseason without fouling so he's not really the 2 way player he used to be. The MLE is like 11m, we might be able to sign someone decent for that. We need an athletic PF much more than a Paul George type player. And with the new cap bringing spending down, maybe we can actually get a decent player for the MLE. If we re-sign PG, we don't get the MLE. Kobe and Jordan Miller spend the summer getting their asses ready and we better finally hit on a draft pick. How do we hit on a draft pick without one?

I'm not giving them the excuse of it being a late pick again. Teams do hit on late picks sometimes. Warriors just got Trayce Jackson Davis with the 57th pick last year. And he plays a position we actually really need help with. We drafted Jason Preston over Herb Jones a couple years ago too. We've been mostly drafting like shit the last 10 years. And other than Mann, which was a very nice pick (though nothing franchise altering) the one big hit we traded, go figure.

Just draft Bronny. So we can be the talk on the 4 letter network on a minutes basis.

In the last 10 years we've picked in the second round 6 times. Only 20% of second round picks are still in the league after 5 years. So, hitting on one of those six is about what would be expected.

We've had 1st round picks too Everything you referenced concerned 2nd round picks and our only pick this year is a second rounder, so I thought adding perspective to the history of second round picks was appropriate to this discussion. 5 drafts ago, we took someone with the 11th pick that just finished second in MVP voting. We have had some picks too that didn't pan out at draft positions that are iffy at best for panning out.
