Screw the Rockets. Good to see them get a probable matchup against a tough OKC opponent than them getting a free ride by playing us in the first round. We get the Warriors and it is more prestigious losing to them than it is to lose to the Nuggets or Rockets. Let's face it. Any one of these teams probably sweeps us. Let's just have some fun with it by losing to the two time champions and go from there. Job here is to convince Durant or Thompson to join our team this summer. Not to beat them. No free agents on the Rockets or Nuggets to be had. WTF? Dude, we're better than OKC. OKC will fold like a cheap suit against the Rockets. I think we have a shot against Denver, if we can get that spot. We likely will not.

It'll be GSW in the first round. MIL has nothing to play for, they should rest their starters and not risk an injury, SA has very little chance of losing to Dallas and every motivation to stay out of the 8th seed. Oh well. This gives us a chance to showcase our talent to Durant.

I wonder if Steph’s ankle injury changes Doc’s approach to tonight’s game. He's going to be fine for game 1. Ankle injuries are Steph’s curse. The Warriors are a shell of themselves and if Curry misses time in the playoffs, I don’t think they’ll win that series.

They hit a slump, but their ceiling is so much higher than ours. We have a lot of really good players, but our ceiling is so low compared to most of the other playoff teams. It'll be fun to see our guys in the postseason and I won't be upset by any outcome, but it'd be a huge win just to be competitive in a series.

OKC’s star power is a major advantage over Clippers. If we didn’t get blown out by the Warriors and Rockets and blow it to the Lakers B-team, this wouldn’t be a conversation.

OKC has way more talent than we do. Way more playoff experience than us. Two superstars to our no superstars. They are a genuine threat to beat the Rockets. I think about the only playoff teams we could compete with are Portland and San Antonio. Maybe Utah if we had a good series. Warriors, Nuggets, Rockets, and even the Thunder I think would pretty much kill us. And if that is the case I would just as soon get blown out by the Warriors so we can showcase our young talent to Durant and Thompson. Just hope our young talent shows up and competes hard and makes them work for their wins.

I figure Durant and Thompson get four full playoff games to look at our players and compete against them and that is enough to decide whether they would like to join our team or not. If the answer is no we get that answer immediately when free agency starts and we move on to Kawhi Leonard or whoever else we might want to sign. So yes, time is critical here so it is a huge advantage that two of the potential free agents already know exactly what our team is about and know whether or not they are interested. Lakers are so far behind on this stability issue that it puts them at a huge disadvantage. Both in signing free agents or trading for Davis. Ideally, we sign Durant and package Gallo with some of our young assets in a trade for Davis. I think now if any free agent wants to come to L.A. they would choose to come to the Clippers.

Personally, I prefer Kawahi and Davis. Age wise, they fit best here. But KD is so good that it's not like I'd be unhappy if we got him - I'd be thrilled if we got any of these guys.

Tonight: We want Nuggets to beat Jazz We want Rockets to beat Thunder We want Blazers to beat LakersI was trying to figure out the last one. I thought you might have wanted Portland as the 3 seed. Portland won the season series 2 - 1 against Houston, and Houston only has 1 game left, while Portland has 2. So then you'd want Houston to lose their final game, and Portland to win their final two, so Portland can get the 3 seed. So it seems contradictory to want Portland to win so they can get the 3 seed (and presumably face the Clippers as the 6 seed), but then also want Houston to win, which would deny Portland of the 3 seed. Bump mistwell ? I was trying to figure out the Portland one. If Portland and Denver both win, Portland will have the 3 seed over Houston. www.blazersedge.com/2019/4/10/18304214/standings-update-blazers-rockets-jazz-nuggetsOut East, if Charlotte wins and Detroit loses, Charlotte gets the 8th seed over Detroit. Bump? Portland ended up getting the 3rd seed. Is that what you were hoping for, when you wanted them to win on Tuesday?

If the Warriors lose some players, then they will be a free agent destination too.
I also think that since they'll have Bird Rights on Durant, as well as the investment opportunities there, he could re-sign with them too.
