I think we take Portland if we face them in the 1st round.

I think our chances of beating first round opponents are:
-- GSW 5%-10% chance -- Denver 30%35% chance -- Houston, Utah, San Antonio 40%45% chance -- OKC, Portland 45%-50% chance
The most entertaining though, would definitely be Houston, for all the obvious reasons: Former players on opposing teams, revenge over 3 years ago, rivalry, etc... You just know at least one fight would break out.

Anteaters got eliminated last night. I think Spencer was DNP coaches decision. Only thing Doc could do for him is get him a job in the front office or something. Obvious that if you can't even play for a minor college team that you can't play basketball at all as a pro. Austin not looking good for a payday this summer either. Be lucky if he can get half of the MLE.

The Clippers are a bad match up for the Rockets... Clips play hard and physical for 48 mins.... 48 mins.... You guys can't physical us...Capella does get abused by bigger centers but with Deandre gone you guys have no one to do that us against him. Our pick up of Faried and House Jr. will definitely help us in that department....While I give you guys credit with playing well as a team and with heart you need superstars to win in the playoffs and you have none. The good thing is like you have said you guys really have nothing to lose and can play balls out because no one expected you to get to playoffs... personally I would have wanted a higher pick but hey you made it...big accomplishment I hope we play you guys as well......I love to see how far playing hard for 48 minutes gets you playing a talented team with shooters and the reigning MVP who has been on a historical streak. Didn't you say on the old boards, that you would rather have a team make the playoffs, then rebuild?

In other news, #13 UC-Irvine beat #4 Kansas State yesterday. Watch out for Doc pushing to draft Spencer Rivers in the second round. At the very least, he will get an internship with the Clippers. I watched both games. I was wondering why I didn't notice him. I see now it's because he had a combined 1 rebound and 1 assist in 18 minutes, along with 2 turnovers. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/3148951/spencer-rivers

Well be careful on what you ask for if you guys get us in the 1st round....it will be a quick exit for sure and then the excuse will be...hey you were supposed to win...so its lose lose for us anyway...Faried and Rivers didn't play at all last nigh and we still be the Spurs with Harden yet going into beast mode.... if he doesnt win the MVP for yet a second year in a row...he already been robbed of at least 2 mvpsTwo of the top MVP candidates are going at it on TNT tomorrow.

Yes for our situation at that time and because we had Harden i would always want to make the playoffs because with him I thought we would always have some kind of chance and then i also wanted to him and support to get playoff experience. With regards to your current situation and team I would have rather gotten a higher pick and a chance at Zion especially when it seems like management was purposely trying to tank with getting rid of your best players....you need that superstar to do things otherwise you will stay in mediocrity for years like we did right before we got Harden....we finished 9th like 3 years in a row..not good enough to make the playoffs and not terrible enough to get a lottery pick..

To be clear, we now want the Blazers in the first round. Unquestionably we want the Blazers now, if the question is "who gives us the best odds of winning and getting to the second round". In fact, I think we now have a window to take the 4 seed and play Blazers with home court advantage, if things play out for the Clippers.

I think we can beat anyone in the 1st round. Sweet, give me your paypal and I'll bet you $1000 that the Warriors beat us in the first round if we go against them. (I think we would have a shot to beat anyone else though).

Plus both own tiebreakers against us.

Plus both own tiebreakers against us. Blazers, after this injury, do not have an easy schedule. We have four hard games left, and they had two hard games left. But with two of their top 3 players out, suddenly teams like Pacers, T-Wolves and Kings become hard for them. Jazz have two hard games left: Denver, and us. However, neither Hornets nor Kings are pushovers. Given they dropped to the Hawks, I can see them losing one or both of those games. So bottom line, if we beat the teams we should beat, and then win half the tough games we have ahead of us (including Jazz), we could take 4th or 5th seed.

I had the Jazz as likely losing to Atlanta. And I picked Phoenix as the one likely home loss as the season winds down. I was off about the Phoenix one. But part of that was because I had the Jazz beating the Nuggets at home later on, so I had to have them losing to Phoenix. Just the way I thought about it. With the Kings defense, they are pushovers to me. Cauley Stein isn't focused enough. Hield has also been shooting poorly in most games lately. As has Bogdanovic.
