That Lakers game hurt us badly, but now I don’t feel as bad as Utah just lost to them as well. We need to win vs Utah and see what happens. Most likely 8th seed for us. It’s all good though. Let’s play the Warriors.... I don't see it as "most likely 8th seed". We beat Utah, and OKC loses to Rockets, and we're out of 8th seed. Both seem like a decent chance to me. Rockets have been smoking people lately, they should beat OKC easily, they need to win that game to keep their shot alive at the 2 seed. Rockets are 1 game behind Denver but they own the tie-breaker. What's nice for us is that the last game of the season against the Jazz looks like it may be a meaningless game for Utah. Hopefully they will rest their guys and we can cruise to lock up the 7 seed. I doubt the Spurs are going to lose to the Mavs but you never know, I wouldn't count on it. Having to face the Warriors in the first round would be meaningless, I don't know if I would even watch the games.

On a positive note, Shai has been an absolute baller lately. The sky is truely the limit, especially in today’s NBA where you need your PG to be a scoring threat. You can still win with different kinds of rosters. Lowry on Toronto isn't a scoring threat. Denver doesn't have a big scoring threat at the PG either, but have a lot of different weapons, and Jokic. The best thing that Gilgeous-Alexander does, is defend the perimeter. That is very valuable.

Are Rockets going to rest their players? Beverley will play on Wed. Harden does not rest. He doesn't believe in it (and I salute him for that attitude). And they are still playing for seeding. So I seriously doubt they rest. Beverley better play on Wednesday. I posted in another thread, but D'Antoni rested Harden last year during a game with 7 games remaining.

March 27th, 2018. www.espn.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400975857I remember it, because I had Harden on my fantasy team, and Houston only had a 3 game week, and the MVP contender rested for one of those games, and the opposing manager had Anthony-Towns score 56, and Trey Burke score 44.

Since he rested last year, my guess is that if the seeding were ever secured, then D'Antoni would rest him again this year.

It was a meaningless game against a meaningless team that had no bearing on the standings and that the Rockets could have beaten with their G-league team....don't worry Harden is playing against OKC tomorrow...2nd 3rd or 4th seed is on the line....besides Harden has already said he doesnt want to sit...

I can imagine some fans picking that Bulls game last year, because it was cheaper in price. For some fans who can only go to 1 or 2 games a year.
Then when they got to the arena, they realize that the Rockets put out a discount team.
If the Rockets had a 4 or 5 game lead in the standings like last year, Harden would probably have been resting by now.
TNT should make Phoenix-Dallas the first game of the double header, since it's Dirk's last home game.

Second of all , Harden only sat alone one game coming down the stretch last year and this year and none for load management. So you can't say for sure he would be sitting this year with a secure seed. Harden has already been quoted that he loves to play basketball and he isn't sitting......Even though he is tops in the league in minutes played and he rarely gets hurt..... Unfortunately there will be games where stars don't play..especially down the stretch...I as a paying fan would be more upset with those players that are doing it for "load management" in the middle of the season.

Tonight: We want Nuggets to beat Jazz We want Rockets to beat Thunder We want Blazers to beat LakersI was trying to figure out the last one. I thought you might have wanted Portland as the 3 seed. Portland won the season series 2 - 1 against Houston, and Houston only has 1 game left, while Portland has 2. So then you'd want Houston to lose their final game, and Portland to win their final two, so Portland can get the 3 seed. So it seems contradictory to want Portland to win so they can get the 3 seed (and presumably face the Clippers as the 6 seed), but then also want Houston to win, which would deny Portland of the 3 seed.

I will be cheering for the Thunder tonight. Clippers fans always take the underdog. Even when they are shooting themselves in the foot.
