Going through the list of NBA season records, one caught my eye en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_regular_season_recordsMost consecutive games with a 3-point field goal made by a rookie 33 by Rudy Fernández, from December 7, 2008 – February 22, 2009. ShamWow is currently on a run of 26 games with a 3-pointer made. There are 11 games left in the season.

Would be more impressive for ShamWow if it was the most number of 3 pointers made as a rookie. Consecutive games is a bit obscure.

Rudy Fernandez didn't have a good shot during the 2009 Dunk contest. Because Dwight Howard and Nate Robinson were doing their Superman and Krypto-Nate act, the judges voted for the latter two to make the Finals.
It didn't matter what Fernandez was doing, they weren't going to vote him to advance.

Would be more impressive for ShamWow if it was the most number of 3 pointers made as a rookie. Would need 43 more to tie. 3.9 a game.

The 40% thing is more important, and impressive, to me, than making 3's in X number of consecutive games.

Streak ended last night with his 2 for 7. All this streak means is he isn't getting off enough shots. I would rather have 3 for 8 than 3 for 6. He is a starter. We need more points out of him.

I agree. Just like how a good football team establishes the run, we need to establish our outside shooting. We need to go to Shamet early and often. I think he is more than a JJ Redick clone because he can handle the ball and create his own shot.

Damn! There are some superb career shooters on that list. It's a good sign. Note that he's taking more attempts per game than anyone else on that list as well. He's also THIRD in true shooting percentage. With Gallinari above him in 2nd and Brent Barry just below him in 4th.

Shamet's streak ended tonight. He finished tied with Rudy Fernandez.

Not sure why we don’t go to Shamet more often, especially when he makes a 3. Gotta see if he can heat up. I’m a really good shooter and people respect my jumper out to NBA range at the rec center. What gets frustrating is when I knock one down early on my first attempt, but I don’t see tha ball for the rest of the game. If I’m heating up and they start feeding me, I can end games pretty quick.

Who are your teammates?
Same people most of the time?

Durant had some high praise for Shamet after the GS game, said they had to game plan specifically around him on defense.
