Harden gets an assist while sitting on the floor.
Harrell to Gilgeous-Alexander for the layup.
Harrell draws a 2nd foul on Harden, an offensive foul.

Nice to see you here.
Yes, the Rockets are playing a good game.
Clippers have 7 turnovers, not a good idea.

Today's Haggle / No Haggle:
The Chris Paul trade was the best trade in Los Angeles Clippers franchise history.
Ralph: No Haggle.
Color Commentator: Haggle. The Blake Griffin trade was the best, because it allowed the team to set up all of these other moves.

after a second thought, you would be referring to a singular opponent as an it, but teams should be referred to as “they”. Nice to see you back these past few days, @rhy1244. Why the long absences this season, if you don't mind me asking? my wife and I had our first kid. Now we have a little four month old.

You're in the deep thick of it. First 6 months so so friggen hard for us. It gets better man. 6 month mark is usually better. Then 1 year mark is better. Congratulations!

This game was on NBA TV and I guess Rockets fans didn't like what Don MacLean had to say. I liked hearing that from him. Not necessarily that I agree or disagree on the point he made, but it makes for interesting listening and food for thought. He was not trashing Harden -- actually praised him in a way for his skill -- just expressing a provocative view on that style of basketball, and I thought it was interesting (and I happen to agree.) Much better than the canned, predictable, yip-yapping that many color commentators spew out endlessly. Hollins, for example, just mostly repeats what we just saw on the screen, but with a lot of hype in his voice a la John Madden: "Shai! Gilgeous! Alexander! Penetrates the paint and kicks the ball out to Shamet who sinks the 3!!!" Well thanks, Hollins, I just saw that, you're not on radio and you are giving me a fucking headache.

The one silver lining about getting spanked like this is the wake-up call going into the playoffs. In the playoffs you're no longer the Cinderella team that no one ever expected would get this far. You gotta bring it, with seriousness and purpose and a taste for the jugular, or else you get eaten alive like an appetizer snack the way you did tonight.
Let's see how the team recovers from this, it'll be interesting.

Capela just destroyed us last night. Six dunks and five other shots at close range. And 15 boards with 7 offensive rebounds. Just the difference between him and Zubac alone makes this Rockets team damn near unbeatable in the playoffs for us if they are healthy. Plus, he plays great defense on Zubac and Harrell so he not only is scoring for them but preventing us from scoring. He had a +/- of +24. They outrebounded us by 10 which was a worse stat for us than our 15 turnovers. They played pretty tough defense on all our guys and got deflections when we tried to pass. Gallo, Lou, Shamet all had trouble getting open looks at threes. Harrell was bothered big time in the post by both Capela and Faried.
A bright spot was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The guy really proved he can play against tough teams and do well. He shot pretty well under pressure and this experience is really going to help him going forward. And impress free agents who saw the game to want to come here and play with him. I also think Shamet did a good job of competing and will improve in these types of games. Backcourt of the future. Zubac and Temple were the two weak spots. Zubac needs more experience and Temple just isn't that good. He could not even slow down Harden. Penetration by Harden led to all the dunks by Capela. So I think we move Shamet to shooting guard and need to get a small forward (Kawhi Leonard) in free agency. And move Beverley to the bench.
So good game and good experience for our team. Now we know our weaknesses. Now we know our strengths. Now we know what we need to do this summer to improve.
