Clippers - 11. Lakers looked like crap in the first quarter last night. They were down something like 37 to 8 before the Warriors decided the game was a joke and they could laugh their way through the rest of the game and still win easily. Mo Wagner, Caldwell-Pope, JaVale McGee, Rondo, and Caruso are their starters. That is not very scary. Jonathan Williams is a reserve who played 27 minutes and is out of Gonzaga. Jemerio Jones is another 23 year old off their bench who I never heard of who played 27 minutes for them last night. Who the hell are these guys? This Lakers injury story has really crippled every starter on their team. James, Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, and Chandler (who isn't the starter). I wonder if even the Lakers fans will show up at Staples tonight to even watch these guys play.
Of course I will watch the game. We need a confidence building blowout before we head to Golden State to play the Warriors. And we need the win for the playoff race. Right now it looks like Warriors will kill us on Sunday and Utah will be none to easy to beat next week. So we need this win tonight. Somebody tell Zubac to put a body on McGee. We don't want him going off on us like Capela did in the Houston game.

I guess Shamrock is just Shamet for now. That’s what I get for expecting Steph Curry. He’ll be great in the future, though.

Shai on the other hand is straight up balling. He’ll be a star soon. I’m getting a jersey.

Caruso played fantastic in the fourth quarter. Rondo hit three threes in the last six minutes of the game. Jones and Williams (the two G-leaguers) both played hard and pretty effectively. McGee badly outplayed Zubac. Caldwell-Pope played pretty well. This game shows that we are just a middling team that got lucky in winning toss-up games and we are lucky to have gotten 47 wins and to have made the playoffs. Rockets destroyed us in the previous game and Lakers scrub players beat us on our home court. Does not bode well for the Warriors game tomorrow or Utah on Wednesday.
Thinking we will get the eighth seed now with two more losses and wins by the Thunder and Spurs. Then a quick four game exit out of the playoffs courtesy of the Warriors. Defeatist thinking I know but I just seen two games where are primary weapons (Lou and Harrell) can be defended with the right players. And can get exploited by the other teams offense. So we don't have enough after Lou and Harrell to win tough playoff type games.
Good to see Luke win what will probably be his last win as a Lakers coach. Lakers fans save some face after their miserable season. Got to give their players credit for last nights win. They really played hard and they played about as well as they can play. Good entertaining game.

Good entertaining game. I tuned in at the end of the third quarter with the Clippers up. Then all hell broke loose. Robinson made Caruso look like an all-star. I guess back to the G League for him. I was hoping to face the Rockets but it does look like we will get the Warriors. That will be ugly. Oh well, we still exceeded expectations. Next year should be interesting for us and the league if the Warriors have a mini-breakup and we land an all-star free agent.

missin the grit & glue of the team in P-Bev. Doc played a bunch of guys who won't be in the playoff rotation, so wouldn't worry too much about this game as some kind of overall indicator of the team. And Lakes just caught fire late in a game the Clips likely penciled in as a "W".
Just an anomaly type of game, the Clips will play better than last night going forward. They'll come out hard rest of season. And maybe this type of loss was actually good for them.

2 bad losses and suddenly we’re falling apart? Well, maybe. Quit being pussies. I think we can still upset anyone.

It's not just two losses, it's a humiliating spanking followed by a loss to a terrible team that's playing D-Leaguers and is a cross-town rival. Show me the last time a playoff team did that in the last week of the regular season while scrambling for playoff seeding. Yes, we can upset anyone... IF we play like a playoff team. But if we play the way we played he last two games, we wouldn't upset a high school team.

I don't get how everyone is so sure that OKC will not be 8th. They have a tough schedule and haven't been playing well. Because you have to look at what's left.......OKC win tomorrow at Minnesota then odds are they won't finish in 8th. Their last two games could be against teams with their seeds already locked and have nothing to play for....if Denver beats Portland tomorrow and Houston beats Phoenix then 3rd seed is clinched for Houston and Denver would then have to lose at Utah and then Minnesota. Good thing for you guys is that Houston should still be playing for something on Tuesday against OKC because they play before Denver/Utah on Tuesday and Denver/Minnesota on Wednesday so Houston should try to win out to still have a chance at the 2nd seed. If you look at OKC's schedule they have Minnesota, Houston and the Bucks....that Bucks game is gonna have everyone sitting because they have 1st seed locked up. The Greek Freak didn't even play today against the Nets even though it was stated because he bruised his calf against the 76ers.... San Antonio should win out against Cleveland and Dallas so they won't end up 8th I am curious if San Antonio, Clippers and OKC all end up with same record who has tiebreakers??? More than likely you guys end up with 47-35 record and the other two with 48-34 records. The loss to the Lakers really messed up your chances to get out of that 8th seed. The Warriors are gonna more than likely win and Utah unfortunately for you guys will still be playing for home court advantage so you will get their best as well....... I was honestly hoping to play you guys in the 1st round and OKC as the 8th because I believe they would be more of a threat to the Warriors....Would have loved to see that series....
