Well that was rough. At least we have nothing to lose. Playoff experience will be monumental for the young guys' careers.Maybe, but you can say that about any young team that makes the playoffs.
A team like Charlotte looked good in 2014 and 2016 when they made it, then they haven't made it back.
Portland looked good in their first series in the Lillard era, beating Houston in 2014. Then they've disappointed and flamed out most years following that, IMO.
Some teams don't keep up the following year, either because there's greater expectations and they're not a surprise anymore, or because other teams get better.
Unless the Clippers keep facing the same opponent in the future, not sure how much it will help, as the matchups will be different in future years.
Sometimes, teams keep losing to the same opponent, year after year.
Portland seems to have a habit of this, as they lost to the Lakers in 3 straight years from 2000 - 2002, with the latter 2 years being sweeps. In recent years, they've run into similar problems with Golden State.

A lot of those teams stayed the same or got worse. The Clippers have flexibility. Also, I can’t think of any team in NBA history that had 2 rookies in the starting lineup playing in the playoffs. Both of our Rookies weren’t top picks either.

I was on a plane heading back here to the UK so missed the game. Any positives to take away? I see our 2,3,and 5 scored a grand total of 6 points - BETWEEN them! Obviously that can't happen if we hope to win a game or two. Other than Zubac and Shamet wetting the bed, anyone else look overmatched?

The game was there for us. GS kept turning the ball over and we didn’t take advantage. 15 points out of 21 TO’s... we need to stop turning the ball over as well. We will adjust and get it tied in game 2. One key that I’ve said, limit there role players bc that’s what hurt us the most...

Need to play Chandler more and Temple less.

Anyone know where on the radio is the Lawler broadcast? I think it should be on the normal station, 980. Were you able to find it?
Also, if you have Tune In, you can listen too. You might need Tune In Premium, though.
The games were also on ESPN Radio. You have to use the app to find all games.
If you try a radio station, then it will vary depending on if that station wants to broadcast ESPN Radio at that time, or other local programming.
Did you end up listening to the game?

Thank you. No, I could not find it on the radio. I normally like to watch the game on a delay so I can skip over the commercials and time-outs, but I was willing to sacrifice that in favor of watching live and listening to Ralph instead. So since I couldn't find it, I went back to watching it on a delay.

ABC means no Lawler on the telecasts. That probably means Monday and Thursday will effectively be his last games.
Our starters got outscored by 60 points. Obviously, without Zubac, Shamet, and Beverley scoring we can't outscore these guys no matter how well we defend. Lou and Harrell both had great games and we still lost by 17. But overall I was proud of the way we competed and played in this game. Well coached, well motivated, and good execution by our players but they were just overmatched. Outrebounded by 13. Curry somehow gets 15 boards and 38 points on only 18 FG attempts. That is insanely efficient. No defense for those bombs he was throwing up from three point range. And we chose to let Green be open for threes so we could double Durant in the post. And he nailed a lot of those shots.
I was surprised they put Draymond Green on Shai and Klay Thompson on Gallinari to open the game. Smart but not what I expected. And Durant did not even give Shamet a chance at any open shots from three point range. Most of his shot attempts were layup attempts that were blocked at the rim. That was one big problem for us. They kept blocking our shots on layups. I thought Iggy hurt us too. He is a reserve but in limited minutes he is still a very good player. Good defense and he hit some shots that hurt us.
So all in all a very good game for us. Suspect it may be a lot tougher on Monday night.

So did you try 980, and it wasn't there?
A few suggestions if you want to hear Lawler's broadcast on the radio.
The above ones should help you find it live (ESPN Radio; Tune In).
Another thing you can do, is if you have a portable radio, you can record the radio broadcast. Then you can listen to it on delay. You just have to plug in a 3.5mm cable from the headphone out of your radio, into the input in of your recording device.
If your recording device is a phone / tablet, there's probably a phone app where you can record to a file from the input source (the portable radio).
Or, this app seems like it can record an online radio stream, with a built-in recording feature:
There's probably other apps too, just have to search for them and see some guides about how to use them.
Me personally, I have a portable radio, and a Zoom H2N digital recorder, so sometimes I record radio broadcasts of live games from the portable radio, into the digital recorder, using the 3.5 mm cable. I've been doing this for a few years.
That way, I can still listen to the radio broadcast on delay, and fast forward through the commercials too.
Did anyone else hear the game on the radio?
For the game on Monday, I will try the ESPN radio app, so I will confirm for you whether the game is on there.

This isn't a "maybe" type question. Playoff experience for a rookie is helpful. And you can't say that about "any young" team because most don't START TWO rookies. It's kinda a big deal that they're getting playoff experience this early.

Been watching the NBA since 2000. I took a small hiatus from 08-10 because of military training. Point being, it’s not often that you have 2 rookies starting for a playoff team
