Using this for non-Clippers series.
About Orlando - Toronto Game 1:
That was a great game 1.
Funny to think that on the last Magic possession, you have Leonard guarding Augustin, a top defender.
Then Marc Gasol gets switched onto him, a former defensive player of the year.
And Augustin still hits the game winner.
A top defender like Leonard cannot get screened out, and still claim to be a top defender.
I actually haven't been as impressed with Leonard's defense for several years, as I think he's pretty good, but not as good as the guys in the 90s / early 2000s.
I like Paul George more defensively. Even then, I still think there were other past wing defenders better. But I'd rank George ahead of Leonard.

These were my predictions.
Brooklyn vs. Philadelphia:
I just don't trust Brooklyn players. They look ok because they play fast, but they aren't that efficient.
D'Angelo Russell had a good year though, and improved. He's not a chucker, but is turning into a solid PG.
Embiid's health is questionable.
Brooklyn is a pretty good road team, so they might take one in Philly.
Philadelphia in 5.
Philadelphia Philadelphia Philadelphia Brooklyn Philadelphia
Orlando vs. Toronto:
I think Orlando will win a few games, Vucevic could be the best player on the court for a few games.
Toronto will win a game 1 though, which rarely happens.
Toronto in 6.
Toronto Orlando Toronto Orlando Toronto Toronto
L.A. Clippers vs. Golden State:
Warriors defense will be locked in.
Clippers have problems rebounding.
Golden State in 4.
Golden State Golden State Golden State Golden State
San Antonio vs. Denver:
San Antonio has 2 stars, Denver has 1.
Denver will need good backcourt play if they are to advance.
Popovich will have a good game plan against Jokic.
Only 1 triple double for Jokic.
San Antonio in 5.
San Antonio Denver San Antonio San Antonio San Antonio
I guess I went really BOLD for this one.

Otherwise I think your predictions will be close. Clippers are an overachieving team that made their bed. I think they steal a game, though.

I really hate the term "stealing a game". It implies that the team that won didn't deserve it. Broadcasters say this all the time, when a road team wins. To me, if they play better than their opponent, they earned it. Plus, when the matchups are more equal, there's supposed to be a few road wins each series. But, in this case, since the Clippers are one of the biggest underdogs in playoffs history, I guess that term can apply. I just don't like the notion. It cheapens it. If they win a game, I don't want it to be about how "Golden State didn't take them seriously" or how bad Golden State played. I want it to be about what the Clippers did well.

Indiana vs. Boston:
I've just never liked Boston's roster. Not enough size, they need another big with Horford.
Indiana without Oladipo isn't the same. Sabonis is good, though.
Cory Joseph has been playing pretty well.
I guess I'll pick Indiana, not sure.
Indiana in 6.
Indiana Boston Indiana Indiana Boston Indiana
Oklahoma City vs. Portland:
Kanter is can fill in for Nurkic in some areas. Going against Steven Adams is tough, though.
However, anytime I think the Thunder bigs will have an advantage, they don't play as well as I think they should.
Still, I've liked the Thunder defense over the past 2 years, and they've been better this year on offense too.
Westbrook will make a few bad decisions, but he also is so active on every play, he is relentless. He does a lot more good things than bad. Plus, he's become a better PG.
Westbrook with 4 triple doubles.
Schroder can be awful when he misses.
Oklahoma City in 6.
Oklahoma City Portland Oklahoma City Portland Oklahoma City Oklahoma City
Detroit vs. Milwaukee:
Griffin isn't healthy, and the Pistons have trouble against bigs vs. certain teams.
Hopefully a few of the games are close.
Sometimes Detroit can be ok on the road, but I don't have a good feeling about this series.
Milwuakee in 4.
Milwaukee Milwaukee Milwaukee Milwaukee
Utah vs. Houston:
Even though they split the season series, with both teams winning on the road, I just haven't liked this matchup the past few years.
Mitchell has been playing well the past few months, and Gobert is very consistent.
Utah has beaten Houston most of the time in their playoffs history.
Houston in 5.
Houston Houston Houston Utah Houston

Barkley says he's looking forward to Capela and Gobert going at it. Shaq gets into an argument about semantics, and says that they're not post players, so they won't really be going at it. The argument continues, and Barkley finishes with saying that Rudy Gobert would have blocked Shaq's shots.

Jazz tried to force Harden out of his ISO game which led to a lot of other Rocket players hurting them. They had the same problem we did with Harden. We could not stop his dribble penetration with one guy defending him and as soon as the center switches to stop him he dishes it off to Capella for a dunk. This Rockets team is going to be tough for anybody to beat over seven games. Their depth seems to be better this year than last year. Rivers, Faried, House, Green all look like guys they can play for limited minutes without getting hurt too much.

How in the world did the Rockets fall to #4 seed?? They started out terrible, they were 11th in the conference at one point. Then Houston and Utah were the hottest teams the past few months. But they lost to OKC on Tuesday, and lost the tiebreaker to Portland since Portland won the season series.

Just thank Paul George and his miraculous three pointer that caused them to lose a heartbreaker at OKC on the second to last game of the season. That doesn't drop and they wind up the second seed.

It wasn't that miraculous. It was a normal good game winner. Miraculous would be like a contested 29 footer.

How about that dominating performance yet again for those Houston Rockets....the Jazz and really no one has answer for Harden...so many ways he can kill you and dissect your defense...there's a reason why he is MVP...
