I think "jewkilla", "negrokilla", "muslimkilla", "wapkilla" would all be totally unacceptable usernames. As is "japkilla" even if it is used by somebody who is half Japanese. We are not Japanese. So we don't get it if it is an inside joke. All we see is the implied racism and call for violence. And come on. We firebombed Tokyo in 1945 and killed almost 100,000 innocent Japanese civilians. Don't you think some of us would like to forget about that chapter in our history.

I definitely haven’t kept it a secret that I am Japanese and find it shitty. Plus he’s been pretty much an asshole all the time. That being said, I’d make a policy to ban racist names. If he wants to post under a normal name, that’s fine. Jap really has no alternate meaning other than a racist term. If it were innocent then he would have changed it upon finding out it is a racial epithet. |

It is understood by Japanese Americans to be deeply offensive. From my experience, many Japanese from Japan understand it is a racial epithet. |

Has he ever posted any racial content other than his screen name? I don’t sense any bias in his posts that I’ve read. On the old boards, he gave Del Negro the nickname "Vinny Dumb Negro".

This person may have an abrasive posting style, but if the SN is changed, then it is allowable.
The million dollar question has always been, if the SN isn't racist, then what does it really mean?
clipps thinks people are being too soft for letting this get to people.
japkilla, can you change your SN? Something Clippers or sports related would be nice, but otherwise just something that most other than clipps don't find offensive.
Go to Edit Profile-->Personal, and change the Display Name there.
