Clippers +9.5. Early start to this game. So be warned. Charles, Shaq, and Kenny can't send us fishing no more. Because the games will be on ESPN and ABC if we make it until Sunday. Screw them. What did Barkley say about us before the playoffs. That we were as bad as burnt toast. Well that is what his analysis of our team has been. Toast. Hopefully, the game has Van Gundy and Mark Jackson doing the color commentary. From game one these two guys have shown our team a lot of respect and have been very complementary. I like these guys. Hopefully, they can do the game Sunday too. So great that Barkley deprived of the chance to send us fishing as they did with the six other teams that faced elimination and did not survive the elimination game. Maybe Spurs will be sent packing tonight. Then we would be the last team standing in the first round.
This Friday game may be Ralph's last. If it is it is nice to see it is at home and during a competitive playoff series. Instead of something like winding up with a 20 win Clippers team in Sacramento or some place which is probably where we would be if Sterling still owned the team. This is the way he should go out. A great team trying to accomplish something great. Lucky Ralph. Get to leave on a winning note. Lucky us. For having him for 40 years.
The game plan I suspect will be the same as Wednesday's game plan. Tighter rotations with Green at center. No Zubac, Chandler, or anybody who did not play Wednesday. Hit the boards hard and limit their second chance points. Gallo can shoot a whole lot better but everybody else shot about as well as they can. I think Shai passed up a lot of open looks Wednesday and I would like to see him shoot more. I don't see us playing with any fear in this game. We got two from them so now we are playing with house money so there is no reason to be scared. Warriors are the ones who may choke. They played well Wednesday and winning did not happen for them. Must put at least some doubt in their minds.
So just play as hard as we can in this game and let the chips fall where they may. Home crowd should provide the energy so that should not be an issue. Just get this thing to Sunday and anything can happen in a game seven.
