I agree Portland is the better team, even missing a key player.
I still think we'd beat either of these teams. Which tells me there was one path to the WCF for this team, if just a couple of things had played out differently this season.

I’m glad that we got to show the world what we were made of vs the Warriors, but these Clippers could’ve beaten anyone else in the Western Conference in the 1st round That loss to the Lakers really stings. Ha, we were posting almost the same thing at the same time

Ha, we were posting almost the same thing at the same time Imagine the Cinderella Clippers taking the Warriors to 7 games in the WCF (Warriors might be even more tired and battered up so maybe we beat them). Oh well, there’s always next year... again.

We could have beaten Portland, but I would have given them the 60% advantage. Lillard is better than anyone we have and on Denver too. I think we would have actually beaten Denver or at least gone 7 games against them. They aren't bad or anything, but not great. Golden State and Houston are the only 2 teams that would have beaten us for sure. Utah would have been a tough series too even though they went down pretty quietly.

Sixers playing hard. They look good. They just got a wire to wire victory.
I really hope they win this series.
Also what the heck is up with their fans? Looks like half the stadium left, and there is no noise at all.

I watched Portland vs Denver. I find it unbelievable how they let McHale call those games. He is cleary still hurt of that 3 point shot from Dame the biase is just crazy and annoying. Also I was pretty impressed with Enes Kanter. He played really good on the offensive end. I also liked Mo Harkless. I still can't believe that the Blazers won even though they got outrebounded and Dame even had a bad game. Overall I love the intensity in this series. Both teams didn't play very good but it was still nice to watch. I still got Portland beating Denver in this series and am rooting for them. The one from 2014? Wow, McHale does need to get over it, lol.
I like watching these teams, and I like how they have low key personalities.
I can't get into Philly, even though I am trying.

A few weeks ago, you were rooting for Portland to win against the Lakers.
And for Houston to beat the Thunder.
I didn't quite get it, because if Portland beat the Lakers, then they would have a chance to move up from #4 to # 3 or # 2, which they did end up doing.
But if Houston won, then it would give Houston a chance at the 2 seed. So I didn't know what you wanted, whether you wanted Portland to move up from # 4 to # 3 or # 2, or Houston to stay at # 2.

I don't remember anymore. I was reading a website tracking all the possible results for the Clippers path, and I recall it was rooting for those results for the best result for the Clippers. I don't remember why.

Embiid can be good, but he misses too many games. Whether it's because the team forces him to rest or not, it's still out there. Plus he hasn't had a great series yet, only good games.
Simmons hasn't had a consistent series yet either.
Sometimes, I'm not sure how much of an impact winning has, in retaining players. If another team makes a good sales pitch, they can still go.
I think Durant would have left even if the Thunder would have won a championship in 2016. He wanted to try something else.
For Leonard, I think he will go to whatever team fits his personality the best. All teams will offer him money, so it will come down to whatever team lets him be himself.

As I said weeks ago, I would have had Clippers in 5 against Denver. 6 also would have been reasonable. But I can't see the Clippers with their talent and depth losing to Denver 3 times.

Leonard isn't getting any help from Gasol in trying to beat the Sixers. Marc can't score and in this game at least he could not do anything to stop Embiid. Lowry not as strong as he needs to be to be a starting PG on a championship team. So does Kawhi want to win or is he just content to try and win. My opinion is that he likes Canada or he doesn't. That it will not be about the team but more about where he would prefer to live. And that is something we don't have any clue about. If it were about team and competitiveness I think he goes to the Clippers. But who knows where he wants to live and whether he likes his teammates or coach or whatever. Great fans in Toronto that support the team. No better fans in the league.
I want Tobias, Boban, Scott, and Redick to help Brand get to the NBA finals. So of course I am pulling for all our ex-Clippers in that series.

At this point I'd be surprised if Kawhi was not a Clipper next season and I'd be thrilled by that move. He is undoubtedly a top 3 player and shows up in the postseason more importantly. In fact I would consider him probably the number 1 guy I would take in the playoffs, he has the type of game that thrives under pressure.
