I have tried inserting each recently. The buttons don't seem to work--or I don't know how to use them correctly.
Any assistance, please?

It seems like I can only insert images from the internet and not from my hard drive. Here's what I do for images on my hard drive. I go here: imgur.com/uploadClick browse, find the image you want to upload, click upload. The image appears in the middle of the screen. Right-click on it and choose "Copy image address". You now have a JPG image address to insert like you do from the internet.

Use this URL: "https://i.imgur.com/IgZ05F0.jpg"
To get that URL, right-click and go to "view image". Or, right-click and "copy image location".
Or, after you upload it, IMGUR will provide you with a "Direct Link".
For example, here's a screen shot after I upload an image:

Nothing can be done about that. Pro Boards doesn't provide that functionality.
You can try the "Add Attachment" button on the right side of the editor, but it won't embed the image.
