.........and I seem to remember you saying Obama would lose in 2008 and 2012. I also remember you saying the dems wouldn't win the house back in 2018. We'll see what happens, but the main reason Hillary "lost" (she actually won the popular vote) is because she didn't inspire enough dem voters to go to the polls, either because they didn't like her (I personally didn't like her, but still voted for her by default) or they just assumed Trump would never win (because that's what all the polls said), dem turnout was way low compared to Obama in 08 and 12. Only 25% of eligible voters voted for Trump, yet he was still able to win. However in the 2018 mid-terms, dem voter turnout was HUGE because dem voters absolutely despise trump so much. That is going to be the difference this time around, he is so hated, that those dem voters are all going to be off their asses and voting against him in 2020. He is gonna get beaten badly. Those voters won't be sleeping this time around, he's awoken the beast. Don't be surprised if the dems take back the senate too. I'm curious. Of all the reasons you provided for the outcome of the 2016 election, one of them was not Russian interference. Do you think the total 79,000 votes that swung the election in Wisconsin , Michigan, and Pennsylvania were not at all affected by the Russians? I don’t know enough about that to comment, but it certainly is possible.

What does the political spin on the Ukraine call matter when we have the transcript of the call. Everybody can see he was holding up money allocated for Ukraine until they delivered dirt on Biden and evidence that the DNC server that was hacked was in Ukraine and not in Russia. You don't need media spinning to figure out Ukraine was subject to a shakedown by the Trump administration. And you are not going to learn shit by watching Fox news show like Hannity. Because he omits every part of every story that is not favorable to Trump. When he announced on the south lawn of the White House that he wanted China to investigate the Biden financial deals there it was not even reported by Hannity. Deep state are career officials who work for both parties and try and do a good job. Trump and the Republicans hate them because he wants to be a dictator who can do whatever he wants and ignore all the laws. So this attack on the deep state is completely detrimental to our country and done by a president who has no intention of following the law. His attack on the whistleblower asking him to be unmasked and tried for treason was another unlawful act that he Trump should be impeached for. You don't need a partisan filter to tell you what he did was wrong. Only people who delude themselves into thinking he is a strong and forceful president condone this type of behavior. What he is is a fascist dictator and 51% of the people want him impeached and removed from office. Facts are facts regardless of whether you choose to ignore them or not. I watch the partisan media on both sides and sure both sides are biased but there are still basic recorded facts that don't change based on the spin put on them. We can't fix this with impeachment and removal because Pence is just as corrupt as Trump is. Trump, Pompeo, Pence, and Barr all have to go. They are all corrupt as hell. We need to sweep them all out of office through the election of 2020. And I also hate Sanders and Warren because they will lose and they are too socialistic. Biden, Butigieg, Klobuchar, Yang, Harris, or Beto would all be better choices IMO. wrong. The transcript does not say that. You must be talking about Shit’s interpretation. And yes Hannity did show the clip the same day the passing comment of “ China should investigate him too” was said, which is true. Geesh.

The bad actors of the deep state are scared to death because they broke many laws to try to take Trump out and would love for everyone to go so they can skate through. Trump, Pence, Pompeo and Barr...what a joke. Stop pretending dude. Geesh.

So, I wonder who Dems on this board think will beat Trump? Strangely, as the Clips start to win these dem Clipper fans prefer to stop the "Winning" for America.
I understand how fun it might be imagining not being an abject loser, yet you all are stuck with dat moniker until you can beat Trump in an actual Voting Booth. Only votes count, eh? Tossing around Tulsi and Yang scores you a few Virtue Signalling Points...which, along with $2, earns one a Slurpee, sans straw.
Re Tullabye. I'm friends with the man who painted Ian so beautifully next to his "name". When you lose your bet be sure to take Uber as he'll have you laughing, and drinking, throughout the evening.

I just wanted to see the new person and welcome them.
But reading this post, who is "Ian"?

I assume the guys are referring to Ian Anderson, lead singer of Jethro Tull? Yes sir Windsor that be the man. Thank you, that makes sense.
I also understand now that "next to his name" was referring to tullabye's profile pic. I didn't think of that when I read the post initially.
I also didn't know this would turn into a political thread, as I had just read the title, and then jumped to the end, to see what the new person's first post was.

Looking through internet search results, I have to agree on tullabye's painting choice. I don't like the other paintings I see as much as the one tullabye actually chose.

To me, I wouldn't call the Pacers a surprise team. I expect them to be good. I wouldn't be surprised if they had the best record in the East.

Here is the Mueller Report. It details the investigation on Russian interference that led to the indictment of 13 Russian operatives: www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdfHere is the indictment of the Russian operatives: www.justice.gov/file/1080281/downloadWorth mentioning as well, the Americans who were indicted in connection to Russian interference: PAUL MANAFORT — Chairman Trump campaign — Convicted 7 1/2 years in Prison RICK GATES — Deputy Chairman Trump campaign — pleaded guilty, sentence pending GEORGE PAPADOPOULOS — Trump campaign adviser — pleaded guilty MICHAEL FLYNN — Trump National Security Advisor — pleaded guilty, sentence pending ALEX VAN DER ZWAAN — lawyer for Manafort and Gates — pleaded guilty RICHARD PINEDO — Trump campaign — pleaded guilty SAMUEL PATTEN — Political operative — pleaded guilty ROGER STONE — Trial date set for November. 5, 2019 If you don’t have time to read the Mueller Report, here is a piece from Time magazine that distills the issue: time.com/5573537/mueller-report-russia-election-interference/================== … Mueller’s report builds on previous disclosures that Russia had canvassed U.S. election systems looking for vulnerabilities. In Sept. 2017, the Department of Homeland Security told 21 states that hackers had targeted their voting systems. One Mueller indictment from July 2018 indicated that Russian hackers in June and July of 2016 very likely hacked into an unnamed state and stole information related to 500,000 voters. (State officials in Illinois later acknowledged an intrusion by Russian actors, though they said the number of voters whose personal data had been compromised was 76,000.) The indictment also indicates the hackers poked around in counties in Georgia, Florida and Iowa. A Joint Intelligence Bulletin released last month from the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security revealed the Russians targeted all 50 states.
There are plenty of signs that Russia shaped how Americans perceived the election. That’s why Kathleen Hall Jamieson, director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania, calls the foreign actors “discourse saboteurs” in her latest book, Cyberwar: How Russian Hackers and Trolls Helped Elect a President. The Russians not only injected divisive rhetoric into the public narrative via troll accounts on social media, Jamieson says, but also by stealing troves of email from the Democratic National Committee and top Democrats like Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and then getting them amplified via mainstream media sources.
…
While it’s virtually impossible to determine how many votes these efforts swayed, the numbers needn’t be huge to be important. In Florida, Trump prevailed by 119,770 votes, or 1.3 percentage points. In North Carolina, Trump’s margin was 173,315 votes, or 3.6 percentage points. Trump wrested Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin into the Republican column by a margin of 77,744 combined votes. According to a July indictment from Mueller, the Russians knew exactly who the Clinton campaign needed to reach to win the latter Democratic strongholds because the Russians had her strategy memos. Russian-backed trolls targeted 36-social media campaigns at Michigan voters, 25 in Pennsylvania and 54 in Wisconsin, according to data provided to the House intelligence panel. …==================
