I know Larry Bird did the pre-game 5 promo because he wanted to.
But it's kind of weird pretending that Bird is rooting for the Red Sox, because he played for the Celtics.
Everyone knows he's an Indiana guy. I don't think his alliance to sports extends to other sports, for Boston.
He probably also stopped rooting for the Celtics, once he stopped playing. And went back to rooting for the Pacers.

And the Red Sox win the title. Sad ending for the Dodgers. Only three hits. I really think this series was bad in that everybody was trying to hit home runs for both teams. I guess the analytics guys figure that is the way to go. Not enough putting the ball in play, bunting, stealing bases, etc... Just a bunch of pop fly outs on the infield and foul balls and strikeouts. I really don't appreciate this style of baseball.
