If so, that's three trade demands (successfully) in three years from three different teams. That has to be a record.

The Clips would be trying to do two things and it makes sense.
1. They are attempting to put a competitive team on the court this season. 2. They want almost all of their team salary to be able to leave after next season so they can start all over again with significant cap space. 3. It buys them a year to see whether or not they should re-sign Kawhi (and to a far lesser extent, Paul George) and of so, for how much and how long.
but does a ball-dominant 3 point chucking Harden fit at all with a ball-dominant 3 point chucking Paul George? Not at all. I think this would be a frustrating team to watch. The one difference is that Harden can get assists. Paul George can't.

I'm fine with any combination of the following going to Harden:
Morris Batum Covington
Filler: Coffey, Preston, Boston
and then they'd have to get one good player at this point in his career. That would be either Mann or Powell or Zu. I love all of them. I would accept Mann in that trade. I'd be really pissed off if Powell or Zu is in that trade.

It's UFA with clippers owning his bird rights though, so not as bad as all that. What's bad is I am hearing talk it could be T-Mann included in the package. THAT is where I'd be upset. I'd be particularly upset if it's Powell AND T-Mann.

Framework for Harden to LAC:
Clippers — James Harden
Sixers — Normal Powell, Terrance Mann, & Marcus Morris Sr.
