Odds: LAC -8.5, O/U 225 Away TV: Bally Sports SoCal Away Radio: AM 570 KLAC/S: KWKW
Morant out for season.
They just beat DAL by 17, and PHX, without Morant yet the Clippers are favored by 8?

I almost expected the spread to be higher. These guys have had a rough season.

If we win this game and 1 of the following 2 games I will be happy. Actually I'd still be happy if we dropped this game and won the next 2 games but that seems far less likely.

Talent disparity not small in this one. Clippers came out taking Memphis lightly, but can't miss in the 2nd quarter hitting 14 of their first 15 shots to go up 13

Clippers 3rd stringers sure made those -8.5 bettors very nervous. 20 point lead down gets down to 9 in the last couple minutes.

Really a great overall road win by the Clippers. When things were tough and they were behind late in the first they kept cool and kept executing, moving, playing defense, and finding mismatches on offense. Which as so often lately, leads to Paul George with single coverage by someone shorter than him and it looks like practice jumpers. Kawhi was there to make all the tough plays when the going got tough. Coffey had one of his best games yet, if not his best. Theis and Westbrook were good too. I liked that Lue made the young guys play the last four minutes through to the end even though they sucked. Its good experience for them. Maybe next time they'll be better.

Why is Hyland getting zero minutes? If he's not going to play, why not send him back to G league?

Next two games against MIN and OKC will give us a good idea where this team is a in terms of development.

PG took them all unfortunately. At least you covered the 8.5. That was 1 point away from being a brutal beat. The Memphis bench guys aren't even that good they just kept hitting everything they threw up. Luckily Jordan Miller got a put back lay up to finally score. Brandon Boston, once someone we might've had hope for, looks like he's not going to really amount to much if I had to wager on it. I wonder if we could turn him into anything (obv not anything very good). Maybe a team like SA wouldn't mind getting a look at him.
