I like them. Makes sense with a new stadium. Throw back to the San Diego days. Paul George was wearing some gear for it last night.

The "C" with the spikes inside looks like some weird chastity instrument which I would prefer not to experience.

Looks really complicated. The red cursive "Clippers" doesn't look right; should've been white. I like the simplicity of the white uniforms. I really like the compass needle pointing to the "N" of "Los Angelws"

A Clipper ship was used in the mid-1800s and had many large sails - so why does our new logo show the Love Boat?

I think the person that came up with the logo on top of this board, still has a better logo than what the Clippers will come out with. I like the idea of a compass, though. Maybe that person could make a version of the logo on top of this board, but with a compass.

In my opinion the three sails should have been in red. That would clarify that they are sails a lot better.

Looks really complicated. It becomes very crowded to have both a sail boat, and a compass. I think they should have picked one.

NBA fans: These logos are too simple Also NBA fans, when a team tries a logo with more complexity: This logo is too complex

I was someone that was also happy with the logo used from 1984 through 2015. www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/236/Los_Angeles_Clippers/

I think the Guardians 3 D looking wings is too fancy. I think just the letter G and a baseball would be good. Or, get rid of the baseball. Have the G and the wings, but not the baseball. www.coveringthecorner.com/2021/7/23/22590233/cleveland-unveils-new-team-name-logos-cleveland-guardiansFor the Seattle Kraken, it's ok. I don't have any obvious way to improve it. I think they need the red eye, to show that it's a monster. I am not sure how they could make this overall design simpler, so I don't have any suggestion. 1000logos.net/seattle-kraken-logo/

A Clipper ship was used in the mid-1800s and had many large sails - so why does our new logo show the Love Boat? Not sure what you're refering to with the love-boat reference (I guess you're saying that the sails look like the decks of a cruise ship? they don't to me, but that's neither here nor there). Anyway 'clipper' is generic, and doesn't necessarily refer to the extreme kind you're thinking about. If it's fast, has two or more masts, and if it has what is called a 'clipper bow' (i.e., concave), that should qualify. Even this logo (to me) shows 'course/mainsail', 'topsail', and 'top-gallant'-three tiers of sails, so as long as it's imagined to have some zip to it, that's good enough for me. But if most viewers see a butt-ugly revolting cruise ship there, you have a good point!

It's been a general theme on Twitter: when teams go simple, it's criticized. When teams go complex, it's criticized. Pretty much every logo is criticized.

I'll give you my top ones, even if some aren't current: Actually these rankings are pretty good. upperhand.com/nba-logo-rankings/I agree that the Thunder, Mavs, Kings should be near the bottom. Here's some older logos that I liked from some teams: Atlanta: The one from 1995 - 2015 is way better than their current one. www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/220/Atlanta_Hawks/Charlotte: I liked the old one through 2002 better. The Hornet just looked better. And we saw more of the Hornet. www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/5120/Charlotte_Hornets/Detroit: The one through 2005. That knight on flames looks cool. I don't know what that has to do with "Pistons", but it looks cool. www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/223/Detroit_Pistons/Looks like a lot of people think the teal is corny, especially the colors: www.reddit.com/r/DetroitPistons/comments/w9itin/say_along_side_the_teal_jerseys_the_pistons/On the other hand, one of the members explained it. "Horse power". Ok, I get it now. The Rockets one through 2003: www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/230/Houston_Rockets/Minnesota: Slight preference of the one through 2017. Their new one is good too though, so it's not much of a drop off. www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/232/Minnesota_Timberwolves/Phoenix: I think their alternate logo of just just the orange basketball with streaks, and no words, is better than their regular one. www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/238/Phoenix_Suns/Sacramento: New logo is horrible. And grey is not a good color with purple. They should just have a crown. www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/240/Sacramento_Kings/Toronto: You have to have the Raptor dribbling the basketball. It's so awesome. www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/227/Toronto_Raptors/Utah: I think they have two good logos. One with the purple mountains (discontinued). Another, with a quarter note. Their current one with the quarter note just needs better colors. www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/227/Toronto_Raptors/Washington: I have no idea how to make a good Wizards logo. I'd be open to ideas. So to summarize, I think these old logos are great, and way better than their current ones: Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit, Houston, Toronto. I never would have changed them. Sacramento needs tweaks. The idea is fine but they haven't gotten it right yet. Utah, their old purple mountains was great. Their current music note just needs a color change. The logo itself is fine. Since they came from New Orleans, where brass instruments were used, maybe some brass looking colors? Or maybe mountain looking colors. Maybe they should just have two logos, since I think both the old discontinued mountains were great, and the quarter note is great too (but needs better colors). The shape of their current note logo is fine, don't change that. These current ones are great:
Chicago, Milwaukee, Boston, Golden State, Memphis, Miami, Indiana, San Antonio, Orlando, Portland. They should never change them. For the animal teams (Memphis, Milwaukee, Toronto, Atlanta, Chicago), the creature has to be easily visible. Memphis, Milwaukee, Chicago do that well.
