Kawhi still out. Maybe Harden will carry the load (shooting 27% from 3, 34% overall in last 10 games).

We're done without Kawhi

With Harden slouching his way to the end of the season like a rough beast, we're done with Kawhi as well.

This is one of the nights that PG can prove he is woth the $50m/year contract he is asking for. Can he lead the team like a $50m player?

Harden had also wanted a max or near max. It's why he divorced Philadelphia.

Sounds like Kawhi could be out the next 3, but isn't expected to be out for an extended absence. Pelicans have already fallen to the play in. We have a decent cushion to not fall into the play in ourselves, but 4/5/6 is pretty fluid right now. It will likely be some combo of Clippers/Suns/Mavs. The play in teams are now setting up to be a pretty big advantage for the 1/2 seeds as I think those are probably the 4 weakest. It was looking like for a while Dallas/Phx may end up in the play in. Hard to be optimistic when our road could end up being Dallas/Phx, followed by Denver and Minnesota just to make it to the finals. Esp with how we've been playing the last month and a half. This playoffs will be pretty telling though. All the teams who have been consistent all year are fairly young teams. Denver, Boston, OKC, Minnesota have been the best 4 teams and all have stars who are in their 20s. Clippers, Lakers, Bucks, Suns etc have all had stretches of highs and lows.

And whoever LAC plays, it's going to be a team that is now playing very well, moving up in the standings. Alas, LAC itself is not one of those teams.

Yes this team very much looks like a first round exit at this point, unless they turn it around.

I haven't seen anything since the Grammy trip that would suggest this team can get out of the first round. If they play like they have, it will be over really fast with a high likelihood of a sweep.

At this point, I think the only teams we have a 50-50 chance of beating are the Warriors, Dallas and the Lakers, assuming Kawhi plays. If we turn things around, as you say, and get back to playing good defense as we are capable, and dramatically increase and sustain our effort and dedication, then I think we can beat Sacramento and Phoenix. And if all the stars align, maybe the Pels... Maybe... I don't think we have a chance against Minnesota, Denver or OKC. Noway, nohow.

I don't think we'd beat Dallas If we lose to Dallas in the first round, there needs to be some real evaluation on how to move forward. Would firing the coach be enough? Let's hope this team can turn things around. The talent is still there.

I will say this Dallas team is not like the one the Clippers beat before. I see a lot of fans thinking that. I'd honestly give them a chance in any series they end up in. We beat Dallas because most of the games Luka would fade late after coming out on fire. He now has Kyrie to take some of those shots and they have way better bigs. They are the sleeper 1st round team and I'd have possibly picked them against Minn/OKC, probably not Denver though. Pelicans are awesome against us in the regular season, but they're gonna go out in 4 or 5 imo. I don't like how they're built for the postseason. Phx/Dallas though, those are the teams to avoid early for the top seeds imo. West is tough so no one is really an easy out, but Warriors/Kings/NOP are gonna be the best draws you can hope to get that'll be a slightly less tough 1st round opponent.

Let's hope this team can turn things around. The talent is still there. They took us to 7 games when we had a better team and they had a worse team. They're one seed behind us. Why would you be so surprised they would beat us?
