That does not sound good at all.

That does not sound good at all. When Kawhi has been out before he isn't practicing. Not sure why they're leaning so much into the gamesmanship. I do believe the injury was real, but they won't give a straight answer. When he's been out though, you get less info than this even.

"Glass Joe" Leonard strikes again! Not his fault, but this guy always has the most inopportune times to get injured. Snake bitten come playoff time once again and Jason Powell is mindbogglingly still the Head Athletic Trainer for the last fifteen years or whatever. Let's get Zion and Hayward for the new Intuit Arena so we can keep up with Clipper Staples/Crypto traditions.
Already having nightmares on Zu's switch-up perimeter abuse by Luka. Hope Lue has a plan. At least food poison Kyrie and Luka at their hotel or something lolz.

Posted on another thread before seeing this. It's mostly good news. Gonna need the other guys to step up though, cos I doubt we get 40 min/night from him until late in the series at best. At least they did find some success late in the season playing without him but gonna important for PG to play well to ensure we at least split the first 2.

Clippers should just ruled Kawhi out.

Clippers should just ruled Kawhi out. Why? I think he will play. Of all players, he's one that will ask to not play if he thinks it's making him worse or risking further injury.

So sounds like Kawhi got the injection in the knee and has been ramping up in preparation for game one. I'm surprised he got the injection. I think it's the right thing to do, but it poses some long term risk for his health given the surgeries he's had. That had to be a difficult decision on some level for him and his team of doctors to make. But I assume that means he is good to go. corkscrew probably has better insights than I do into the effects of the injection (which I assume was steriods).

Yes, earlier in this thread he mentioned it. Kawhi had a knee inflammation issue on April 2, 11 days ago. Inflammation goes away in a few days, almost instantaneously with a shot of steroids, which is not recommended, especially if you have a degenerative condition like Kawhi has. He actually could have played the last 2-3 games but there was no need — might as well let the knee rest as much as possible. He will have rested 18-19 days by the time the first playoff game starts. I am not worried. If anything, I worry about his conditioning after he has been idle for almost 3 weeks. Hopefully he has been keeping up his cardio to max conditioning.

They're not beating the Mavs without him and the procedure while not recommended, isn't that bad.
