If we got respect from the press I'd be shocked. If we won the championship, we'd still hear about Lakers prior championships. So, I will continue to not give a crap what they think.

Oh yeah, chalk up the Clippers success to continuity over the Lakers. The Clippers didn't have Beverley, had Bradley for six games, had a lame Gallo for only 21 games, and only had Harris 32 games of the season. Other than that, they had continuity. Basically none of this year's starting five played together last season. But by "adding LeBron James, you shouldn't expect to hit the ground running". Sure.

Redick played for us two years ago. When we played Philly two weeks ago not one of our players played with him while he was on the Clippers. We have had as much turnover of roster as any team in the league.

Teams need to go easy on the Lakers to give The King time to assimilate his court. Try to refrain from physical contact, stand when He enters the room, and do not bring up team personal issues, Its the respectful thing to do.

I hate the Lakers but I think the Lakers will be in the playoff mix when it is all said and done. Picking up Tyson is huge for them.

Nice time to bring back this article and thread. Not a single one of these so-called experts picked the Clippers over the Lakers. I think there needs to be some revisiting on NBA.com of these types of predictions to expose these guys as frauds.

Lakers were a fourth place team before Lebron got injured. And then Ball got injured too. Then Kuzma and Ingram. And Rondo. If all of them had stayed healthy most likely these guys would have been right. Can't predict injuries as we know well from the CP3 years with our team.
Tough break for Lakers fans.

The Lakers were a playoff team until LeBron decided to trade everyone away for AD. That ruined the chemistry.
