I haven't watched the video yet. Heard about it on the radio yesterday.
What were the UNC player reactions? (Opposing team).

Zion can reach within 1" as high as Shai, and has 1" less of a wingspan as Shai's 6'11.5". Shai has the same wingspan as Blake, and his reach is 1" shorter.

He's going to have a Blake Griffin like career. His best years will be early on but eventually all that weight he carries will ruin his knees. I still stand by this.

When he loses some of his springiness and finds that he has less reach than a lot of SGs, he might have a problem. He'll have to transform into a SG like Blake did. He's got amazing scoring touch around the basket, though, very Barkleyesque, so he should always be able to score effectively around bigger players.

Let me be clear, if someone we defied all odds and got the first pick I'd take him in a hot second. I just have some doubts that he is the next Lebron, like I keep hearing about him.
And if the Lakers defy all odds and get him, then I will assume the fix is in. Which will make my enjoyment of basketball in general more difficult.

The Knickerbockers getting him would make my enjoyment of basketball in general more difficult.

I much rather the Knicks get him over Lakers.
