Clipper -2.5. Put a lid on Doncic with Bradley, Beverley, and Shai taking turns guarding him and we should beat these guys. We should be well rested and the Mavs are just coming off a loss in L.A. to the Lakers. I was not too impressed with the Mavs offense or defense in that game. It will be good to see DJ again and he should have a big game against our weaker centers. Lets see if he does.

You will. Doc said Boban is good at defending rollers, and DJ is a roller. Too bad about Doncic. That's really disappointing. |

The refs definitely made me raise my eyebrows a few times over the lack of foul calls and questionable calls that were made. I'm surprised Boban didn't get more run. I believe he could have assisted with our defensive rebounding woes. Lou Will kept turning the ball over in the same fashion, I just didn't understand how and why. Def gotta get props to Harrell. Without Harrell the Clippers would not have even remained in the game. I think losing Beverly to a terrible ejection call hurt as in addition in Harrell missing his FTs. Oh well, this game was something for the team to review in footage and correct later down the road.

Outrebounded by 20. They killed us by getting offensive boards in the fourth quarter. And DJ did have a big game with 16 and 23 boards. I knew our centers were weak rebounders but Gallinari and Harris are also poor defensive rebounders. This is one of the reasons Tobias is not a max player. To impact the game you need to play defense and get big rebounds when necessary. And you need to create and hit big shots in the fourth quarter. He does not do any of those things well. Dallas got way too many points in the paint. Barrea got all those points in the paint in the second quarter. Not sure who was guarding him. Maybe Lou. Gave another game away. Just like at Portland with the non-existent defensive rebounding in the fourth quarter.
Props to Lou, Gallo, and Harrell for keeping us in the game with their offense. Beverley getting ejected could have been worse if he had punched the fan that insulted him and his mother. The guy showed a lot of restraint by just throwing the ball at the fan who insulted him. I doubt that Bev gets fined much or suspended for that. Doc and DJ really hugged it out at the end of the game which was nice to see.
