"Austin is a three point shooter... He just has to hit those shots"

It would make more sense for Austin to go to a contender. A rebuilding team isn't going to give him any minutes at the expense of developing a younger player with more potential. Which is the category we fall into so we should not get him back. I could see him helping a team like the Thunder. Spot minutes off the bench with no Beal and Wall hogging the ball and taking all the shots. Austin is a three point shooter and thus in demand. He just has to hit those shots and become a specialist in that. Good luck to him. I hope he catches on with some team. I'm a chemist, I just need to learn how to balance equations...

Still can't believe Doc convinced ownership to spend money on his kid. We ALL knew he wasn't good enough. Shame management wasn't as smart. Well part of it was timing. He got his contract in a year where tons of crazy contracts around the league were being given out.

So it was either re-sign Crawford and Austin, or hope we find someone on minimum deals.

Why didn't we just sign him to a one year deal?

There was a report that the Knicks were interested in him at the time. Who knows, that story could have been planted by his agent.

I didn't think it was possible for someone to be worse than Austin, but Avery has managed to do it. Same exact favoritism from Doc, too, at the expense of winning games. When will Jerry and Ballmer do the right thing and bring in a coach who values what's best for the team, not just what's best for their personal favorite players?

Can anyone explain WHY Bradley fell off so much these last 2 seasons?

CP3 can't get away from Austin. Rockets gave up on Melo and now bring in Austin.
It's only been a year since the Rockets stormed our locker room to try and beat up Austin. ROFL
