Avery is playing MUCH worse than Austin last year and we ran Austin out of town on a rail. bkref.com/tiny/G9aDtWill Avery make it to the end of the season? |

Jabari Parker was just dropped from the Bulls' rotation for having a RPM ranking of 439 out of 451 players. Austin is #431 and Avery is #440.

It’s not about the stats with Avery. We are much a better team with him in the court than off.

There’s some recency bias here. He did win us some games with clutch shooting and defensive stops.

He's come up big in a few spots, but overall I would say he has been a negative. Bradley is the Anti-Maggette Effect. Maggette was a poor individual defender, but his incredibly efficient offense lead to fewer fast break opportunities for opponents and our team defense was better for it.
Bradley is the opposite of that. He is an amazing individual defender, but every brick puts us at a disadvantage defensively. But honestly, Beverley hasn't been much better either.

Austin may be heading to Phoenix 4 seasons with the Clippers and a constant narrative of how he is improving every year. 29 games with the Wizards and he becomes trade filler. |
