That's a big haul in quantity. In quality, though, they got mostly non-impact and throwaway players for their two high impact stars, so they had better be able to build well with all those draft picks.

I don't get why they would trade away Mitchell, but then take back Collin Sexton and extend him for 4 years. Just keep Mitchell instead. I would have liked them to keep Gobert, Mitchell, and keep surrounding them with different supporting pieces. Good job by the Cavs, they seemingly have an emerging big 3. They're not a big 3 yet, but they are headed there.

I would pay money to watch Gobert and Mitchell. I wouldn't walk across the street for a free court-side seat to watch any of what they got back.

My guess is they will give Sexton heavy run this year, and his stats will look much better than before, and then they will trade him again for some picks. Hard to trade a decent player for picks unless they are signed for some time.

He got hurt early last year, so that's why his stats weren't there. But before that, he seemed to have a a style and role in the league.
Maybe you're right in that the Jazz are trying to show he's healthy now, and will trade him away.

His stats the past two years with the Jazz did not look as good as his 2020 - 2021 season with Cleveland.
He shoots the ball well. But he's not a point guard.
Keyonte George, on the Jazz, has games where he either passes well, or shoots decent. He can't put both together in the same game. He's not a starting PG yet either.

Yeah Sexton has not worked out and Jazz are not as promising overall as I thought they'd be by now.
