Griffin comes back to Staples to play the team that stabbed him in the back. When he played against the Lakers a couple of days ago he managed all of 16 points and zero rebounds in a blowout loss. Then he rested at Sacramento in another big loss. So he should be ready for a big game today although the Clippers are still favored by 7.
My take is that the Pistons don't have the perimeter shooters to protect their bigs like Denver and Portland does. We can collapse more on Blake and Drummond to prevent them from dominating the paint. Guys like Reggie Bullock (another ex-Clipper) are expected to protect them by shooting threes which isn't much protection. I expect even if the Pistons starters play competitively with us that our much deeper and talented bench should be enough to win this game by double digits. We need every win we can get and Doc is one of the best coaches in the league at beating inferior teams. Should be a fun day game though.

Does it strike anyone else as odd that Detroit has more LA Clipper draft picks on its roster than we do?

I expect Blake to go off BIG TIME! He must still be bitter for being banished to Motown.

Doc better figure out a way to slow down Blake. Second half could get ugly.

And we desperately need more scoring from our 1,2, and 5 spots in the first unit. 10 points in 33 minutes is appallingly bad. I get that Shai is still young and Avery is solid defensively but damn, try another combination. We do 853 guards on the roster.

Shai needs to take over offensively. He's playing so timid. Doc needs to get in his ear.

Excellent! Beverley telling his teammates to shut up!
They were squawking about a bad call at the other end. Pat telling them to move on.

Blake just abusing Tobias. BG backs him down from 15 feet out to lay it in at the rim. Yikes!

He's back, ready to start the 4th quarter. They need to slow him down. Our lack of length in the middle is really costing us tonight. BG and Drummond are scoring at will.
