If you go to your profile-->edit settings--> settings, there's a feature called "Enable Drafts".
It is disabled by default.
I enabled drafts / autosave by default for everyone by changing the global template.
It will still say "disabled" by default, but it's really enabled because I made it so in the global header.
To test it, start typing a reply.
Duplicate the browser tab.
In the new tab, it should ask you if you want to restore the post that you were typing from the first tab.
