Teams that are most active in trying to acquire help: Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Orlando, Sacramento. Houston, New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Clippers. All have been coming up regularly as gauging who might be available to acquire via trade or after a buyout.

We should consider moving Gallo now that we are not in the top 8.

Get Vucevic from the Magic. He will be a free agent this summer, they are not making the playoffs, and we could give them some young assets in return. Give them Boban, Teodosic, and Robinson or something like that. No draft picks though. For this to happen they need to think Robinson will be good. A tough sell. Or give them Gortat and Robinson. Doubt if they want Bradley or Beverley. They probably would want Gortat and our first round draft pick which I don't even know if we can trade it. Or we could move Tobias Harris and Gortat for Vucevic and another player. That might work. Depends if both teams want to sign their free agents this summer or not.

Why would we trade essentially a lottery pick (Robinson) for an expiring player?

Because Robinson is a bust. At least so far. Of course that is probably exactly what the Magic think and why they would not make a deal for him. I think the place to look for players is lottery teams with expiring contracts of good players who don't want to stay with their teams. Vucevic, Marc Gasol, Tobias Harris all come to mind. Maybe we should forget about getting better and try to move Harris to a contender for some assets. That might be the smartest thing to do.

We should consider moving Gallo now that we are not in the top 8. I would prefer to move Harris because he is demanding an expensive contract that is beyond what he is worth.

Because Robinson is a bust. Holy shit dude, thank God you're not our GM. We're only 19 days into the year, but your comment is currently in first place for dumbest quote of 2019

Really? I was kind of hoping we would be a seller now that we are falling out of contention. I don’t expect us to climb back in the standings, the West is ridiculous. While we overachieved early on, our roster has so little high-ceiling talent that, despite our depth and chemistry, we are really no more than a fringe playoff team. Move a vet or two to add assets and free up playing time for the younger guys to develop, that’s what I’d like to see.

Agreed with Jewel. Pick up some picks if you can for guys on expirings and let the kids loose-Wallace, Motley, Robinson, Thornwell.

We gotta move Gallo if we can, his value will never be higher than it is right now.

Every first round pick is considered a bust until they prove otherwise. Including Robinson. If he were good he would be in the rotation. It could be Doc's fault. But from watching him in summer league I kind of doubt it. But I am ignorant(not dumb) when it comes to evaluating rookies I have not seen play that much. Let's all hope he turns into a good player.

He's playing well - Is he really worth that little? Yes, I would move him for that. We aren't going anywhere and dropping his salary would give us huge flexibility (even more than we already have) this off-season. We could sign two max contract players and also re-sign Harris to a salary he would be happy with. We should honestly be having a fire sale right now with our one year vets (Gortat, Bradley, Boban, Milos, Beverley, Scott, Luc) and Gallo. The only guys I would keep who are not on rookie/min deals would be Harris, Lou and Harrell. Then let guys like Motley, Robinson and Ty Wallace play big minutes the rest of the season so we see what we have there and get them experience heading into next season, also let SGA play 30-35 mins a game. We will miss the playoffs but who cares, that may happen even if we keep everyone anyway. It's all about positioning ourselves in the best way possible for 2019-2020.

Having Harris, Lou, Harrell, SGA, and valuable assets we get from trades would be very attractive to any two max players we would want to snag. Imagine, for example, a starting 5 of SGA, Kawhi, Harris, KD, and Harrell. Wouldn't Kawhi and KD find that near irresistible?
