www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nba/379182/jj-barea-given-a-6-9-month-timetableClippers + 3.5. So Barrea has a torn achilles tendon. News I never paid attention to until now since we are playing the Mavericks. No wonder they have been slumping. They have totally relied on him providing a spark for them off the bench and taking some of the scoring pressure off of Doncic. And Smith hasn't been that good for them this year. And we all know DeAndre can't score no matter what the circumstances are. Just put a body on him with Gortat and we should be able to limit his dunks. Good news for us in that Lou Williams is probable for tonight. We should be able to put Bradley on Doncic and limit his scoring. Then bring in Harrell and Lou to outscore their reserves and win this game. They are coming off a loss to the Bucks at Milwaukee so we should be the better rested and more motivated team. We need this game badly in the standings and they are doing a fast fade so let's go out there and take it.

Need to control the rebounds in this game.

Spurs really out rebounded us on Sunday but we hustled on defense getting steals to make up for it. Doncic is their second leading rebounder so after DeAndre they don't have much in terms of rebounding. We should be able to at least get a push in that stat. Dirk should retire already. He has been worthless to them this year.

For some odd reason when facing an opponent and we’ve had more rest, we don’t play well at all and lose the game.

IMO, teams usually play to about their talent level. @rhy1244 pointed out on the ESPN boards in 2005-2006, how through the first 12 or 13 back to back sets, the Clippers had 1 win during the first night, and a +.500 record on the 2nd night.

The Spurs were coming off a back-to-back from Denver to L.A. while we were home resting the whole time and they kicked our asses. So yeah, we should be the more rested team against the Mavs but sometimes it just does not work out that way. Even so I want to get this game today so that if we are tired against the Heat on Wednesday that we wont need to win that game as much.

I am trying to recall ANYTHING you put huge stock in. From what I can tell, you think all games are in complete isolation. Back to back, home vs away, rest or no rest, I cannot recall a factor you think is meaningful.

I am trying to recall ANYTHING you put huge stock in. From what I can tell, you think all games are in complete isolation. Back to back, home vs away, rest or no rest, I cannot recall a factor you think is meaningful. Winning % and point differential. That's usually enough information for me. I'll also look at ORTG, DRTG, and Rebounding % (offensive and defensive). But maybe that also supports your point, that they're still isolated stats for the team. On a side note, the Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, and Kansas City Chiefs all have alleged great home court/fields. For the basketball teams, every time I see them make the playoffs, they have several losses at home in a playoffs series. Their teams are usually pretty good, but not great. For the Chiefs, they have a home playoffs loss almost every year. Some years their teams are pretty good. Maybe some years they're better than that. But I still see a lot of home playoffs losses. On another note, I have been making daily picks on every game, on another site. I started Nov. 12th, I didn't start at the beginning of the year, because I wasn't sure whether it would be fun. My other friend, who's keeping track, has done it since the start of the year. We'll see how I do at the end of the year. He probably puts more on back to backs than I do. He definitely puts stock in Revenge games. I do too, but sometimes that's also a matter of perspective. Like I picked the Raptors over the Spurs in San Antonio, because I envisioned Kawhi doing what Vince Carter did in 2006 when he returned to Toronto, and hit the GW. It turns out that it was DeRozan who had the revenge triple double. The Boozer revenge game on the Clippers was a memorable one. Days after Stern announced Kaman was the injury replacement All-Star, and not Boozer (positions don't matter when making injury replacements, but Boozer had a good case for himself), Boozer scored 33 points on 13-17 FG at Staples Center. He literally drove at Kaman on every play. So, I guess there you go. The one thing that's not in isolation, that I put stock in, are Revenge Games.

DeAndre Jordan will have Revenge Free Throw shooting, and hit 76%+ of his FTs tonight.
He has done that in 15/46 games played this year.

The fan that heckled Beverley last time we were in Dallas has been banned for the rest of the season.

Anyone else want to make predictions on Jordan's FT% tonight?

Clippers missed 16 straight shots. Somehow they are still in the game.

The lineup of Wallace, Robinson, Motley, Scott, and Bradley just got us a small lead.
