www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/3908845/john-collinsJohn Collins. THIS GUY IS A STUD. 18 double doubles since November 30. Only 21 years old. Second year player out of Wake Forest. Over 22 PER with 10 boards a game and shooting 60% from the field. He has missed some time with injuries this season but when he has played he has been very good. Trae Young also playing well for them. Had 30 at Portland. Clips by 6.5 in this game. Just guard Collins and Young and we should win this game. We have more depth than they do. Get this game and have two days to prepare for the showdown with the Lakers.

There are mixed reports about whether Lebron will be back for that game or not, hopefully he isn't. We need another win to go up 2-0 on them in the season series with 2 more left.

I get the time the games start at Staples by looking at the clock when the ball is thrown up for the tip off.
Yes the game against the Lakers may be huge. But it won't mean squat if we lose at home to teams like the Hawks. One game at a time.

I think it's moot. I think there will be no post season because there will be a trade in the next 10 days that will dramatically change this team, unless... Somehow, the trade involves bringing over a max player (like AD?), in which case we will not only be in the playoffs, we will not be competing with the Lakers for the 8th seeds, we will be competing for home court advantage.
But the latter is not very likely at all. I think AD will play out the season in NO and end up in Boston next year.

That was...not very surprising. They almost beat us in Atlanta too. Difference was this game they were able to close it out in the fourth quarter. What happened to Lou? 2 for 16 against the Kings and now 4 for 17 against the Hawks. His poor shooting cost us this game. Uncharacteristic in that he missed a lot of shots he normally makes. Hawks had a lot of bigs like Dedmon, Len, and Collins that just overwhelmed Harrel in the paint. Played Harrell the last nineteen minutes and it did not work out so well for us. Still too weak at center. Hawks have a promising young team built through the draft. Be interesting to see if they add some pieces this summer and get right back to playoff level. Trae starts hitting those three pointers with consistency and he is going to be really hard to guard.

Gallo's injury is sinking us..........who could have predicted he would get hurt? Shocking.

We would be a much better team if DJ opted into his contract. Offensive rebounds are killing us.

NBA TV had their "Game Night" debut broadcast yesterday.
In the past, NBA TV broadcasts either used the local TV announcers, or they had their Players Only broadcasters.
This Game Night broadcast had Casey Stern, Candice Parker, and Steve Smith in the studio, commenting the game as it happened. They did a good job of covering both teams, and sticking to the game and not going off topic.
When Lou was 0 - 9, Steve Smith said he'd probably go 9 for 9 next.
They also pointed out Trae Young passing off the turnover at the end. Rather than he take the shot clock violation, during the game's final seconds, he passed it to someone else, who would get the turnover.
They said that usually a rookie doesn't do that to a vet.
I see now in the box score it's counted as a team turnover, so it looks like an individual doesn't get saddled with the turnover.
Len hurt the Clippers with his play.
I wonder how many times Alex Len and Jeremy Lin are on the floor together, from a broadcasting perspective.
