No idea why Edwards took a 2 there, but Clippers win after T wolves can't foul in time I thought there was still enough time for Minnesota to foul afterwards.
They couldn't execute the foul.

Why did they leave Theis in until the end? He was awful. Clippers were getting killed on the boards. What happened to Plumlee or Zu? Yeah I don't like it. I think the reasoning was to get 1 of their bigs away from the basket, but it wasn't worth the trade off imo.

Board man needs to start getting paid. He's undersized, but we can't let them outrebound us like this Now I get the reference, it's what Kawhi said at San Diego State. What Kawhi really meant, during college:
"Board man gets laid."

Is there any audio or video of Kawhi saying that? I had only read about it.

Harden is 0-10, but honestly he's been pretty good I'm surprised he was apparently able to find a place in Minneapolis to party until 4 or 5 last night.

We finally figured out the secret sauce! Get your ass humiliated in the first quarter to wake up and get motivated to play defense.

Bones is gonna need to score to justify his minutes Bones did fine, we didn't need him to score, just like we don't need Russ to score; just bring the energy, play D, and pass the ball to the open guys. He had 2 assists and was a +11 in 14 minutes of play. That's all we needed from him.

What are the cliff notes for this game? Only 19 Zu mins, Plumlee doesnt play, we shoot 37% (Harden 0-10) and win on the road some how. Not a recipe for beating them in a series hopefully Lue isnt fooled by fool's gold here (probably is).

I'm not saying he needs to be a chucker, but he's gotta be a threat out there and find his 3 point shot again. He'd also be a weapon if he was one of those guards that could pull a big guy out and torture them.

It was a defensive game.
Towns still doesn't look like a star.
Both teams were persistent in defense. Minnesota all game, Clippers from the 2nd quarter onwards.
Conley Jr. needed to be better.
Theis shot too many perimeter shots.
Minnesota maintains their identity.

ANT didn't score in the 4th quarter except 1 dunk the Clipper gave him. I'd say if we can keep doing that, we stand a decent chance in a 7 game series.

Yeah you can take it as good and bad on both sides. For the Clippers, this is the 2nd time in a row where our offense was locked up by them. For them Towns and Reid bricked a bunch of shots. For us George and Harden did too. We can feel good that Kawhi and Powell can score when things get tough. I'll be curious to see if Minnesota runs into a team that tries to go 5 out on them to neutralize Gobert. It hasn't looked super effective this year, but some teams can play a big (a better than Theis) that can be a real threat from 3. George played really good defense on KAT, esp in the 2nd half. We've made Powell a little less of a focal point off the bench this season. I think we should go back to expanding his role, he's such an efficient shooter/scorer. A byproduct of Russ going out could be more usage for Norm.
