Another Warriors game, another home loss for them. Well they likely won't see any home games in the play in. Going on the road twice is gonna be a tall task. If they could've gotten the Lakers to have to go there I'd have given them a little bit more of a chance. I still don't like the idea of the play in, but no doubt it'll be pretty exciting this year. I would rather have a team with a strong defense, like Houston, who is 7th, potentially play two road play-in games.
Just the general philosophy about defense traveling; players being focused and not phased, etc.

Don't look now but the Warriors have Minnesota, Heat and Magic for the next three games. We might be able to do something with Utah Portland and OKC up next. We have to win tonight to keep up the pressure.....Jalen Green continuing his good games with 26 point outing against the Bulls. If he has a great game tonight it could be POW for the second week in a row? We are seriously playing some great basketball right now. Jalen Green should be up for POW again with the Rox 8th straight win. He dropped a 41 piece in what amounted to 3 quarters of play tonight against Utah. Up next Portland.....

It could be another blowout in 3 quarters win against Portland.

That's a lot of rebounds by Davis.
Either one could have won it.
But yes, happy to see Jalen Green playing well for you.
If there's a matchup between Houston and the Los Angeles Lakers, the Lakers will get a ton of FTs. But Houston has the defensive style that travels and can win two play-in games.
Just make sure it's not close, for the Lakers game.

Also htownfan , any thoughts on the Astros offseason? No not really as I haven't even watched one pre-season game. I know we still need pitching since a lot of our guys are still hurt or recovering. I liked the pickup of that superstar reliever that we got and the fact that our current reliever was ok with it. We lost a major arm from the setup group so we shall see how it all shakes out. Of course I still think we will be in play for the pennant

Just watched the end of Rockets-OKC. They win again, no Shai for OKC. Are there any comparisons to this Jalen Green run? It's not like Linsanity because he def had these blow up games before, but was super inconsistent and now he's a beast out there. I know ppl think Sengun is potentially the next Jokic lite, but do you dare consider trading him? He could be more like a Sabonis and while they're extremely skilled, it's not my favorite player type. Big guys that don't shoot 3s or defend. Rockets are very tough to defend with how athletic they are. You could be sick if you trade Sengun and he keeps improving at this rate, but if you got a huge offer you may want to consider it.

I think you give Green and Sengun a few years first to have them play together.
Also, Sengun does rebound. It would be worse if he was a big that didn't defend, OR rebound. Because there's also plenty of those bigs.
Give Sengun, Green, Amen Thompson, VanVleet several years. VanVleet is older but he was one of the big FA signings, and is the right guy at the moment.

No Shai and no Seguin . i'm with nuraman, give it a couple of years to see if they can mesh. Problem is that they are both due extensions in the summer, how will that work. They have to been in the top 3 of their draft class if not top 2. Fans were ready to trade JG at the deadline, and apparently there was one on the table with the Nets with Bridges as the main trade bait. Somebody needs to be getting receipts now. We are super athletic now that Amen Thompson is in the starting lineup and he is an elite defender and stat sheet stuffer. If he ever gets a 3pt shot he is going to be a great two way player. Right now we are doing all this with probably the most athletic with strength player in Cam Whitmore sideline with an injury. I know he is itching to get back in the rotation. Jalen Green is on a serious run and better win Western Conference player of the month and it shouldn't even be close. Some of his shots last night reminded of dare I say Kobe Bryant(RIP). We know he has the skill, we just need the consistency and efficiency. He was a playmaker amd even made plays on the defensive end.

Def pay both and figure it out later, but at some point it's going to be a squeeze. Young guys that are good don't come cheap once they are due contracts after their rookie deals. Plus you're paying Fred and Brooks big deals already. They all have value though so it's not like they can't be moved, but teams are going to have to let guys go with the new cap rules. Green, when he was inefficient wasn't that valuable, but having an elite scoring wing is a must for a championship team so if this is who he is you gotta prioritize him.
