Early game, we're up 82-46 at the half. Shamat 7-10 from 3.

I missed it. It's nice to see our rookies are still holding up. We're the only playoff team starting two rookies. Still can't get over how we got Shamet along with those other picks, with Harris being an expiring.
Also, I like how Green is better off the bench for us than Mike Scott was. I was mildly concerned about losing Scott, but Green is an upgrade.

Shamet’s a game changer. I think he becomes a more valuable player very soon than Tobias Harris.

Shamet’s a game changer. I think he becomes a more valuable player very soon than Tobias Harris. Not on his own, Tobias is a stud. But if you take into account Shamet is on a dirt cheap contract for the next 3 seasons and that frees up money to use elsewhere, then yes. Plus we landed Zubac in that trade. Two starters, draft picks, and cap space for Tobias. Steal.

Shamet is exactly what Jerome Robinson was supposed to be for us. And went much later in the draft. That shows even Jerry West doesn't know what the hell he is doing sometimes. Great to see him hit all those three pointers yesterday in the first quarter. Him hitting those shots opens up the lane for Shai to get to the basket more. Good to get an easy win for a change and rest our players for the Lakers.

You just wonder why Jerome Robinson and Shamet look so similar as players and one turns out to be really good and the other does not do anything. Maybe it is just confidence or something. Shamet knows he belongs in the league and Robinson acts like he doesn't. Knox was the guy the Clippers wanted. But the Knicks took him at nine. That is what Lawler was saying yesterday. Clips wanted the Kentucky backcourt. Shamet they also were considering. They should have taken him instead of Robinson as it turns out.

West was high on Shamet as well w JRob. They tried to trade down and there were no takers. JRob is gonna be good as well. We have 2 great shooters to go along w Danilo.

JRob just looks like he’s afraid to make mistakes. I don’t think he’ll be a great player, but if he can become a valuable role player that sticks around on team friendly deals, I’d be quite happy about that. The 14th pick is basically a crapshoot. Maybe Jerry West knew that and drafted JRob just to be a role player that can come in for 16-20 minutes and knock down jump shots. If Shamrock turns into a stud, it’ll be nice to have JRob sub in for him to keep defenses honest.
Btw, while watching the comeback highlights in Boston, I originally thought it was JRob hitting those shots until I took a close look. The light skin and haircut make them look similar from far away.

Thing is he blows up when he goes down to the G-league. So I think it both partially a confidence issue and partially a role issue. He simply needs to be more involved in the offense, run some plays for the young man.

A shooter is useless if you don’t let him shoot. 2 major unwritten rules on offense. Reward the big man after he makes a big defensive play and feed the hot hand.
