OK as punishment they can send his sorry ass back to Toronto. I think we've been punished enough by signing him.

So this is, in essence, an allegation that the Clippers "forced" Kawhi to PLAY TOO MUCH.

A lot of this sounds pretty fishy

Should be the other way around. The Clippers have done everything possible for Kawhi. Kawhi and LeBron are the 2 biggest culprits for ruining the NBA.

What are the financial ramifications of cutting him? Or how about declaring him physically unfit to perform(i.e. push him into early retirement)? What an albatross. Guy demands Paul George and doesn't play much. That said, I 100% blame the team for continuing to give him new contracts. Should have NEVER resigned him in the first place.

The wording of these legal brief is pretty strange. He blames the Clippers from luring him away from a prestigious job? They hired him, he had a choice, it's not like they enticed him into a van with the promise of candy. The complaint spends a lot of time on the Clippers violating league rules in recruiting Leonard, but that doesn't have any bearing on a wrongful termination lawsuit. It seems intended to embarrass the Clippers, because it has no legal relevance to the case.

Shelton says that Leonard's recovery from the ACL surgery should have been two years.
He says he was hired to recruit Leonard then was relegated to a lesser role than he thought he was getting.
He says he was kept out of the loop about Leonard's medical condition and that was the retaliation he suffered for raising concerns about Leonard's health.

So he says the team rushed him back from the ACL, except Kawhi missed 16 months with that injury, while nearly every other guy who’s torn an ACL took the court again within 12 months, including Jamal Murray who tore his ACL in the same playoffs as Kawhi.
This is what the court is likely to look at. I'm sure both sides will bring in medical experts that will support their respective arguments, but it will likely come down to this.
... If it is not settled way before it goes to court. Balmer may just throw crumbs at him to make him go away. Remember, when MSG (the Forum) sued him over the building of the Dome, he just bought the forum.

Agree with b-case. Sounds like a classic shake-down to me.

At this point, Balmer may instead use his billions to hire the best lawyers on the planet to bury this guy.
