Ball is probably the better passer.
Defense is unknown for Gilgeous-Alexander, but have to give the edge to Ball because he's not a rookie.
Efficiency, feel for the game = Gilgeous Alexander.
Minutes = Ball.
Team role = Gilgeous-Alexander, because he's not playing with LeBron James, Rajon Rondo, and Lance Stephenson.
I'll say Gilgeous-Alexander, for the advantages I listed above. Or, about equal.

Great debate. Shai has better physical attributes. At best, Lonzo is another Ricky Rubio. Shai's ceiling is unknown.

on a side note thanks to Mistwell3 and Nuramon for the invite. I will try to get more people here I tried to round up anyone I remembered from either the ESPN boards, or @doubletechnical's ClipperTalk. I recalled your SN from ClipperTalk.
Advertising is difficult. I tried anyone whose contact info I had from Fantasy Leagues.
I then did searches for other SNs on the internet, and found a few others elsewhere. Such as madflabby on a Chargers forum, as well as Instagram and Twitter.
My PM inbox is blocked on News Surge, until I get more "reps". Can you rep a post on News Surge?

Once my inbox is restored, I'm going to PM some people, but give them my email address and tell them that I'll give them the link through email.
They have advertising filters and ban certain URLs so it's too difficult to advertise directly in a PM.
Also, other people can't check their PM inbox either until they have 3 reps, so it limits how many people can read the PMs too.

Rubio needs other ball handlers around him, otherwise there's too many holes in his game. On the Jazz, he has that with Ingles and Mitchell.
Ball has that for right now, with LeBron James. But James won't be there forever. Once he leaves, Ball might struggle again depending on their roster.
Ball was better than most rookies I've seen defensively.
Let's see if Shai can match that.

No clue. SGA looked great in summer league, but that is just summer league. No idea on how many minutes he will get under Doc. Lonzo will probably get less minutes this year. He is far down the food chain now as far as face of the franchise. Rumors are that he could get traded. |

THIS season ... Ball hands down. Right now we have too many guards in our lineup and I just don't see SGA getting enough minutes to even compare. Things could easily change however as I do feel that in the next 1-2 months we will be unloading 1-2 or our guards ... we have to anyway as we have too many players on the roster now. I can see us shedding Wes, Evans and even Teodosic. Moving Teodosic will definately open up a lane for SGA.

The person who has the most minutes will have the better season.
All things being equal, Shai will have a better season because of lower expectations and seemingly larger role.

SGA has a 13.1 PER in 77 minutes. Lonzo has a 15.4 PER in 46 minutes.
I think this will be a good matchup to watch to see who becomes the hot PG of LA.

Shai in 11 games is already about as good as Lonzo in his second season (63 games). I agree, Shai is likely to win that competition.
