I don't think the Lakers are putting this out. Either Vecsey completely made it up for click bait or Doc's people put it out to puff him up. Doc's family has a way of inflating themselves in the press. Yeah we are all fine with Doc's job this year, but nobody would have cried if he left after last season either (many would have been happy). |

Lakers need a new coach. Lots of names are going to be floated out there. They have to make a good hire as Lakers fans are fed up with the losing. Probably Spoelstra, Lue, or anybody who has ever coached Lebron to a conference championship will get their name floated for the job.

He’s doing a great job redeeming himself. The players love playing for him which I think is most important. Sure we're fine with him for the moment but this is not exactly Phil Jackson territory (despite what Doc's people would like you to believe). |

The Lakers are an absolute joke. Other than the Knicks, I can't imagine a bigger dumpster fire in the NBA than the Lakers right now. Yeah, the Suns are bad but the Lakers are laughable with their 4 stooges(Bron, Magic, Linka, Bussted).

Great article on Doc. So he wanted to get fired as president. And was happy with the decision. And more effective in his job as coach as a result of it. A win-win all the way around.
