We have the most promising back court in the NBA. Shamet is not just a shooter too.

I believe Shamet was a PG in college. While I wouldn't play him there at this level, it's just good that he has those skills in his bag of tricks.

I seriously think Shamet for Harris straight up was a fair trade, in retrospect.
Zubac was also effectively included in the trade. As was Wilson Chandler. And Philadelphia’s protected 2020 first-round pick, the Miami Heat's unprotected 2021 first-round pick and the Detroit Pistons' 2021 and 2023 second-round picks.
It was a lopsided trade in our favor, despite Harris being a great player who I liked a lot. Long term, we win this trade hands down.

I understand the JJ comparison but I don't like it because JJ wasn't a good ball handler and couldn't create his own shot. Shamet can do both and I like his defensive awareness. That's why I say that the best part is that people think he's "just a shooter".

It's not clear how he will develop, but for now, he looks like an early cross between JJ and Curry. He shows similarities of both. (he has the quickest release shooting the 3 since Curry)
Areas of improvement:
-- I'm thrilled that he's been attacking the basket much more, and even finishing sometimes. He needs to improve on the finishing part.
-- Speaking of finishing, he needs to get to the foul line more.
-- He's been showing signs of playmaking. He needs to work on that more
-- He has not been shy on D, he really goes after his man regardless of who he's covering. He should get better and smarter as he matures.
-- His BB IQ is high, it'll only get better with experience.
It looks to me like he is already working on all these things. If he continues down that path -- and I believe he will -- then he looks to become a perennial all-star at some point soon. When it's time for him to become a restricted free agent, teams will be lined up to pay him handsomely.

KD keeps praising the Clippers young players, interesting:

Harrell seems to be liked by the Warriors locker room. He was very chummy with Cousins before the game, chatting, and smiling, and joking. And twice during the game, when he was down on the floor, he was quickly helped up by a Warrior player, once by green and once by someone else, I forget who.

Landry is going to learn a lot from this series, the Warriors were defending him very tough. It almost seemed like they treated him as the number 1 option. He's not ready for that, but it's a great sign and he's going to have some great things to work on over the summer so that he can adjust to that type of defense.

I think Kerr worships at the alter of the 3, and Shamet being a rookie, he wants to take that out of the Clippers arsenal. He thinks he can neutralize SGA (and he did in game 1) as well as minimize Gallo (which he did in Game 1). He didn't have an answer for Lou and Trez, but his plan worked. Interested to see what adjustment Doc will make and what adjustment Kerr will anticipate Doc will make.
