Suns want Beverley. Apparently they've offered two second round picks and we said no. We want the first rounder Suns received from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Eric Bledsoe to make this deal happen. The pick would convey if it falls between four and sixteen in the lottery, which is unlikely. It’s much more likely a pick for 2020 when it’s just Top-7 protected. Suns are holding off for now on offering that pick.

You mean it's unlikely that the pick would land between 4 - 16 in 2019? Why is that unlikely? Oh, because it's coming from Milwaukee. Yeah, they'll be better than the 16th worst team.
I'm still iffy on whether to do it, even for a 2020 pick. Milwaukee drafted 17th this year and last year. They were tied last year so if they had lost the tiebreaker, they could have drafted 18th.
Is Beverley worth a late first rounder?
I'd rather keep him, have his Bird Rights, and try to re-sign him.

No deal. Bev is probably our best player, if he is fully recovered. This isn't a trade we need unless it is really sweet.
Wait and see how desperate PHX is for a point guard.
If not, offer them Jawun Evans for the second rounders. I hear Jawun can play.

The only way that I can see the Clippers getting rid of Beverley to the suns, is if they find a way to get Jackson with others involved, get Bridges, or a 1st. Even the 1st is tough because it's unlikely we get it for a couple of years. Another idea floating around is that they find a way to use Beverley in a 3 way deal to send players to the Twolves to help land Butler. Realistically, I see the trade ending up being Teodosic for a 2nd.

Pretty sure the negotiation is real, and the Clippers are in fact asking for a first rounder for Beverley.

Jerry is definitely right in holding on to him except for a windfall.

Good article.
The Suns should just bring back Tyler Ulis.
