So how did everyone feel their draft went? I was absent for the first half (putting daughter to bed went long) but there for the end. And I am OK with that as the end is the part that requires the most on the fly decisions based on what you got earlier. I got a trade offer right off the bat from someone. The trade was OK but it was essentially position matching position, and I didn't see the point this early. If I had wanted those guys for those positions I would have taken them Who do you think got the steals of the draft? Who do you think will have to re juggle most of their lineup to compete? Who got the unexpectedly already injured guy?

I don't know because I'm not sure how much playing time some people will really get.
There are some players that are in the starting lineup. But if things go south for that team, will there be a shakeup in the rotations by mid November?
Also, I'm not going to say who, but there's one player I wish I had drafted, even though he's a bench player. On the other hand, because he's a bench player, I know he'd frustrate me. So I might have to wait until there's someone I'm sure I want to drop.

Also, more so in MLB, but I tend to have a very different team by the end of the year. So regardless of how I feel now, I tend to drop a lot of players.

Yeah I tend to cut my players often. Though right, particularly in MLB.

I remember drafting Kelena Azubuike one year because Jason Richardson was going to be suspended for 7 or 8 games.
Azubuike was great for those 7 or 8 games. Then his playing time dropped.
I have a feeling, if this was a different player in a similar situation, and someone else had drafted him, that player would have kept the starting job, even after the other player returned from suspension.

I drafted Porzingus knowing he was injured but had no idea that Markannen(?) was injured and on the shelf for two months.

mistwell, what did you mean by "better late than never" in the draft?

Just comparing with recent seasons.
I felt bad for most of 2016-2017. I kept wondering if I should break up the Wall/Lillard/Teague trio, and if the strategy to have 3 of the same players wasn't going to work.
But because I made it to the Finals, I have to look at it as a success. Even if I didn't win my playoffs rounds until the final day (as I was trailing both of those for 99% of the week).
I had a better record last year. But a worse playoffs result.
Right now, I'm a player away from being happier, but don't think that player exists on the waiver wire right now. So, right now I think my team is a loser, because it can't beat the top contenders.

You went to the Finals as the 7th seed. I had the # 1 seed but lost in the 2nd round. You also made the playoffs in 2014-2015, as the 3rd seed. But lost in the first round.

Oh damn sweet I really don't remember. I was in too many leagues. Just 2 leagues this season, much easier to manage with the one click start players for the whole week option
