The deal is not final. There is a race to dump Ajinca in time and if he cannot be dumped in time the deal is off. I like getting Johnson off the books. We're saving about $1.3M through this trade for our cap.

Deal is done. Clips save 849K and are now 4 mill under luxury tax line. Evans (1.4 mill) and Ajinca (5.3 mill) will both count against the Clippers cap this season even though they were released. www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-41038643-4

15 man roster is now set. I like what the front office has done this off-season, good job.
If we can dump Gallo, don't pick up the options on Thornwell and Wallace and don't have a 1st round pick (we will lose it if we make the playoffs), we would have almost 82 mill in cap space next off-season. Approx 65-70 mill for two max slots and then approx 12-17 mill left over to try and re-sign Harris, all while retaining Lou, Harrell, SGA and Robinson. Next off-season is going to be HUGE for this franchise.

Wow, the Clippers FO has done a great job fixing Doc's mistakes over the past few years.

Solid move. Agree that the FO seems to be making more intelligible decisions. A little sorry that Juwan is gone. I was holding out hope that his shot would come around. Still, these transactions justify continued optimism.

As a starting point, we offered him $80 mil this offseason which he turned down. I'm not sure how many years but 4yrs =$20mil per and 5yrs = $16mil per. If it was 3 yrs its $26.6 per.

Yeah that is gonna be interesting to watch. One/both of the other max guys may take a little less so we can keep Harris possibly. Also not all max contracts are created equal, i think they depend on how many years the player has been in the league and the final cap number that the league sets.

Glad we dumped Wesley Johnson in a trade instead of cutting Wallace or Thornwell. Wesley just wasn't consistent. One game he puts up decent numbers and the next game we get absolutely nothing out of him. And it went on and on and on that way. Good to see Trapp found his way to this board. We need all of the old members of clippertalk that we can get. Hope mannycoon and v-ice and even VHFS find their way here. With this move we still don't have playing time for Thornton, Robinson, and Wallace. They probably will not even dress for the first game. But Gallo, Teodosic, and maybe Bradley or Beverley are bound to get injured so they may get their chance in the future. I hope we don't get injured a lot like last year but would not be surprised if we do. This year may be develop the rookies, get a high pick, and sign a big free agent next summer. Or it could be we fight like hell every game and finish at .500. That is our ceiling in my opinion. About 25 to 41 wins this season. Big range with lots of different factors involved.

He just hasn't posted since September. mannycoon is either not checking the prompts on the fantasy league message board, or he's ignoring it. Jovan Buha: Doc Rivers said Lawrence Frank and Michael Winger worked hard to find trade partners for Wesley Johnson and Jawun Evans — rather than simply waiving them — to do right by both guys and because they feel both are NBA players. They found a team for Johnson but couldn’t for Evans.
