Avery Bradley.
Had a relationship with Doc before coming to Clippers? Check.
Had a below-average first season with Clippers before signing a $12 million/season contract? Check.
Hyped up as a defensive ace to compensate for no offensive game? Check.
Playing an irrational number of minutes despite having below average statistics? Check.
Bradley is third on the team in minutes, but has a PER of only 1.4. Mbah a Moute could also have qualified for this award.

So far this season, Bradley is worthless. It's early though, but he has showed that he can't hit the broad side of a barn. Not good for a shooting guard.

Turrible analogy to Austin. Avery has already proved that he can play this game in past seasons, far better than Austin ever was, and the Clippers had their best stretch of the season when he started 6 games for us and we won 5 before getting injured. Give him and Patrick a little time to get their games back after missing last season. You think this is a frikkin video game played by robots? They're both good players and will be fine.
As for Luc MBAM, once again you make no sense at all. Luc came in last night and turned the game around and should be co-MVP of the game. I don't know what his PER was and I don't care because he was perfect. He shut down PG13 and made all his own shots. Guess what? Luc scored an equal number of points to PG in the 2nd and 4th quarters when he was playing against him. When PG goes 1/6 and Luc goes 1/1 in the 4th and each score 3 points, who do you think won that battle? I would seriously consider starting him against teams with dominant scoring SFs.
Other than that, all your points were wonderful.

I thought Bradley and Luc both guarded PG well. Their minutes are warranted. The problem seems to be that there is not enough playmaking when Beverley and Bradley are out there together. That tandem needs to be broken up.

I agree with Dyce. Start SGA, and have Bradley come off the bench.
More importantly, Bradley is only really signed for one year. His second year only has a partial guarantee of a small sum of money. That's not an Austin contract.

A father/son relationship can’t be compared to a player/coach relationship, not the same thing at all.

I don't think there will be another Austin Rivers/Doc Rivers situation for a long time. It's pretty obvious that situation destroyed the lockerroom and ultimately put the end to the Lob City era. As poorly as Bradley has been so far, he's far from as bad as Austin. Don't forget that Bradley is coming off a season ending injury from last season.

After the Rockets game, Doc was hyping Avery Rivers' defense. He said he pitched a shutout on defense. True? I missed the first half.

Losing put an end to the lob city era. Not Austin Rivers. Can't blame him for Blake and CP3 not getting it done or for all their injuries. But Austin did have to go. Blatant conflict of interest in a son trying to earn a 40 million contract and having a coach who would like to see him earn that contract instead of benching him like he deserves. Bradley a better defender than Austin. And the proof of that is that our defense against guards and perimeter players in general is much better this year. I figured out last season that Austin was way over-rated as a defender in that he couldn't really stop any of the good players from scoring. Bradley much better. CP3 and Holiday can probably attest to that from games this week. Offense has been bad though from Avery. He needs to play with Milos or somebody who can make plays to improve on offense.

"He is coming off a career year and his ability to create offense for himself and others will help our second unit and allow us to play a variety of lineups throughout the season," Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld said in a statement announcing the trade.
Gortat ain't the greatest either, although I like him way more than seeing Jr out there, but A-Riv is tunin the massive meat whistle so far this season. Wiz are underachieving at 1-4 with him getting 25 mpg run. How long will it take him to decrease to 15mpg or even less? Brooks is a good coach and he doesn't massage egos with courtesy minutes.

unsurprising. I watched some Wiz the other night and they were down by at least twenty, I believe at home, and Jr chucked back-to-back bricks from three. It was like the good ole times (*face-palm*).

Austin's PER (6.0) is half of what it was last year (12.6) and his TS% is down from .526 to .502.
Yes, he is a journeyman at best. The kind of guy who plays on 4 teams in 4 seasons. What I don't get is how was he the #1 high schooler when he went to Duke.
Avery also was the #1 high schooler.
