Maybe they all just needed to get away from each other rather than try to be a flawed Big 3.

Jordan's blocking more shots again. He didn't have 2+ blocks from 2016-2017, and 2017-2018. He had 0.9 blocks last year. His FGAs are up, from a career average of 5.7, to 9.5 this season. He was a better offensive under Del Negro IMO. There's a reason why vicrattlehead called him "DJ Hooker" several years ago. He showed more variety. Rivers took away some of his development, and just kept him in a limited role. I think that's why he wanted to leave in 2015. Cuban showed him that he could be used in more ways. I haven't watched any Mavs games this year, so I don't really know if he's being used differently. But, I wouldn't be surprised if he was expanded a little bit.

The main reason why he wasn't featured more on offense with us was because of his poor free throw shooting. But he improved on that last season. Other teams can't just foul him anytime and get away with it.

If I was coaching the Clippers I would have fed him the ball much more than Doc did. He was always one of the top 3 efficient offensive players in the league, regardless of FT ability. But Doc, he preferred to give the ball to the guards and flakey chuckers and let them lose or win by the outside shot.

From SB Nation Mavs. "Then, on the inside, DeAndre Jordan looks more concerned with padding his rebounding stats than defensive positioning and challenging shots."
I've always thought Jordan was overrated, still do. He gets rebounds because he never steps out to contest shots. He has talent but no heart. His bloated contract was what did us in.

We could use DJ this year, especially now that he figured out how to shoot FTs (WTF?). Dallas got him without having to make a long-term commitment. They scored with DJ but have a team worse than the Clippers.
